idk how you got dismissive and dickhead out of that. I was inferring his chances of KOing Manny were low since he hasn't KOd anyone in 3 years/5 fights and is only getting older.
Quit catching feelings...

got knocked out in his last fight right? I thin.k Mayweather didn't want to fight him until Mayweather was pretty sure he would win. Either way I hope it's a good fight. I hope some bar here will have it on

^ A Few of you on this board. Watch the fight, or don't watch the fight. Why put a NEGATIVE spin on everything? Drink a beer, calm down, and be happy these two grown men are willing to inflict pain on one another for our enjoyment and to make a few $.

The boxing ignorance in this thread is outstanding.
First, yes, in 2010, Manny and Floyd were younger and presumably better, more athletic fighters. They were also P4P #1 and #2 in the world. Guess what? In 2015, on most respected P4P lists, Floyd is #1 and Manny is #2. Floyd's movement isn't what it once was (which is why Maidana was able to get on him in their first fight) and Manny's hand speed isn't as crazy as it was 5 years ago, but they are still the two best fighters in the world.
Second, the idea that Manny is somehow faded is ridiculous. He lost one of the worst decisions in boxing history to Tim Bradley, then got caught with an uppercut by Juan Manuel Marquez (who rather than being an "old Mexican dude" is still in many people's Top 10 P4P and a first ballot hall of famer. He then crushed Brandon Rios, easily outpointed Bradley in their rematch, and made a mockery of Chris Algieri.
Third, styles make a fight. Manny is a southpaw (Floyd struggled with Corley and Judah) who throws punches at absurd angles and never stops coming (see Maidana, Marcos). He's not considerably different as far as size/speed goes as Floyd (see Alvarez and Marquez). Floyd is the best defensive fighter in the world. This is going to be a really damn good fight with Pacquiao doing his best to corner Floyd or cut off the ring with his footwork so he can unload with combinations while Floyd waits for his time to counter.

When was the last time Manny KOd his opponent?
Answer: 2009, Miguel Cotto.
Both are still great fighters, but Floyd's defense is not as good as it once was (see the early rounds against Cotto). And Manny just does not have the power to pair with his insane work rate.
Both are past their prime. This is still the biggest fight in our generation...but both fighters are on the downslope.
PS I'm still getting the fight

This guy just said almost everything I wanted to. The only note I'd like to add is it's interesting/weird to me that Floyd destroyed Marquez and Manny did the same to the only fighter that left Mayweather with any bruises after a fight, Miguel Cotto. Well during the Money era. I barely remember any fights of his when he was Pretty Boy.

the fight of the decade pitting the best 2 boxers of the past 10 years against each other. Manny is fighting for a lasting legacy to go out with a huge bang. He declined previous bids for this fight due to drug testing issues. But then he is a smaller guy in a sport that pays more for bigger fighters to fight. Floyd is almost 2 years older than Manny trying to hang on to an undefeated record approaching Rocky Marcianos 49-0 Mark. Bet on Pac man in a unanimous decision.

Floyd is a marketing genius! Say what u will about him, he knows his market and goes after it. and he works his ass off in the Gym!

because Mayweather has a long history of assaulting women, even in the presence of children. So yeah, my judgment is that he is a morally unfit human being who happens to be a great fighter. For those reasons, I won't contribute to his $ haul. These reasons have nothing to do with how "brilliant" he is at knowing people love and hate him. He has been brilliant using his money and lawyers, along with the help of promoters and those who think these things don't matter, to continue raking in millions. He should be in prison. If those things don't matter at all to you, its a free country.
