Yup, HUGE week coming up. Hopefully it can get started off on the right foot by having a Michigan man be lauded as the greatest NFL QB of all-time...

with this ass backwards school district I work for. The only thing that will save my day is a good banging this morning to switch my mood around. That, and a good practice from my team tonight should make this a nice smooooth super bowl weekend.
Go Pats! Tom Brady for President of the UNIVERSE!!!

Well, we made it to Friday with very few bumps and bruises around here, so well done, everyone.
Not a big weekend planned here - everyone in the house has been getting into or out of some stage of the latest stomach flu or whatever it is (my turn was on Monday into Tuesday), so the place is pretty much trashed and you could build a shed with the Vernors cans sitting on the counter in the kitchen at the moment. To that end, the weekend is pretty much devoted to correcting that trend.
The National Weather Service is waffling on Sunday's forecast - the quick summary says 1-3 inches of snow, but the expert forecast opinion that they published for SE Michigan opens the door to much more than that. We shall see. I have shovels and salt and, more importantly, additional labor that people call "children" from time to time - I've tried to involve them in winter cleanup this season too.

The definition of casual Friday at my house:
My 8 year old daughter just asked "If you go to the bathroom with your gloves on, do you still have to wash your hands?"
January 30th, 2015 at 8:34 AM ^
to that question is no, btw.
January 30th, 2015 at 8:54 AM ^
That's what I said. No, you don't have to wash your hands, but now we'll have to wash your gloves instead. She was like, whatever.
Children at that age are gross. They are only a half-step above animals. Maybe only a quarter-step. At least animals will clean themselves.

Teenage boys are pretty damn gross. They are animals. They smell like animals. I don't want to even go in my sons' rooms.
