December 30th, 2014 at 7:53 PM ^
...when Michigan comes back and wins.
Yeah, I can mention them for a hot second.

I included Harbaugh talk in the OP.
Here, I'll put it in the title too.

Michigan State had them beat twice. Won't get a third chance to finish.
EDIT: Quick, someone grab a statistician to tell us that Forbes isn't choking and we're just imagining it.

Injuries are the only explanation...some things never change.
December 30th, 2014 at 7:46 PM ^
Hey guys.
Jim Harbaugh is our head coach. I just like saying it. It makes me so happy inside.
December 30th, 2014 at 7:54 PM ^
Me too.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:32 PM ^
He peddled JH to Michigan and we all laughed at first, believing it would not happen. He kept pushing the agenda and it worked.
Also, he did lay the foundation for the termination of DB.
Brian is our general and WD is our captain.
Go Blue and Happy Harbaugh Day!
December 30th, 2014 at 7:49 PM ^
2014 started so well, then went to shit, and now it's going to end even better than it started. On Harbaugh Day and the first day of conference play, UM won when down by thirteen at one point and both MSU and OSU lost. This is fantastic.
December 30th, 2014 at 7:50 PM ^
I hate Louisville...so glad that UGA is up right now and hoping it stays that way. UL fans are a pretty nasty bunch---they're like a spawn of a MSU and OSU fan having a baby with their arrogance about how great their program is.
December 30th, 2014 at 7:50 PM ^
izzo is now 0-4 against the top-100. With a loss against Texas Southern.
December 30th, 2014 at 7:52 PM ^
Eh it's not like Beilein is any better this year... down year for the B10 all around.
December 30th, 2014 at 7:55 PM ^
They lost to the University of the Incarnate Word.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:10 PM ^
Is that a real school?
December 30th, 2014 at 8:15 PM ^
Yes. They joined Division I this year.
Baylor scheduled them for the 2016 season. Seriously.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:28 PM ^
Was it 2016 or 2019? I remember posting the story last summer i.e. the last time things were actually happy around here.

I know he said little in the red meat department but personally I loved it. As I wrote last night I am ready to return to an era where we spoke softly and carried a big stick. A very big stick.
December 30th, 2014 at 9:03 PM ^
"Thank you for the enthusiasm and support, even though we have not done a darn thing yet". You can clearly see, how much he appreciates all the support he's received. It's not like he needed extra motivation, but it's great that he knows the entire Michigan family is behind him. I'm so damn happy, we finally got the coach all of us wanted.
December 30th, 2014 at 9:23 PM ^
I said to someone else that they knew there was a passion and outpouring for them from afar but until Tuesday arrived they would have no idea how visceral it was. It is 1 thing to get the phone calls and hear the comments. It is another to be bathed in humanity.
December 31st, 2014 at 1:47 PM ^
I love the banging drums one...
To be saved and brought back out at the first "what's your problem bro" with Dantonio.
December 30th, 2014 at 7:55 PM ^
Now MSU loses their third straight?
If not for the refs screwing LSU over by taking away a touchdown against ND, this day has been pretty damn epic.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:08 PM ^
If ND was a real rival, they would have bricked the kick off the upright.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:14 PM ^
but I'd avoid the tough logic classes.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:34 PM ^
Speaking of - you know who should count their Touchdown Jesuses? ND. They chickened out just at the right frigging time.
And probably avoid the whole Harbaugh era unless Hackett can get them to schedule a Harbaugh beating in the mid 2020s.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:11 PM ^
5* OT Martez Ivey calls of making his college decision at the Army All-American bowl and 5* DT de-commits from TAMU. I'm just gonna assume it's cuz of Harbaugh
December 30th, 2014 at 8:13 PM ^
OK, I saw this on RCMB. Do these idiots really believe this nonsense? I love how they think that UM was Harbaugh's 17th choice on his possible job list.
"Harbaugh didn't have many choices after all and is making three million less.
1. The Jets used the same search firm Korn+Ferry that UM did and the guy they got John Idzik as GM---and he was just fired. In fact they put billboards out there to fire him.
2. Chicago did not want to get into a big contract after the Cutler criticism.
3. SF fired his ass after a Seattle lost. it was not mutual and he was allowed to finish the season.
4. UM super booster Stephen Ross, brought back Joe Philbin another year for the Dolphins.
5. So only the Raiders looked but it would have cost Harbaugh $5-million to go to the
Raiders.
So Harbaugh 'chose' UM over the NFL. and takes $3-million less than reported."
December 30th, 2014 at 8:18 PM ^
Whatever makes them feel better.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:31 PM ^
They're showing some fear.
If they weren't scared, there wouldn't be 2K threads about him on their shitty cookie-cutter website.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:32 PM ^
I really need to get a glass of wine or three and sit down and read thru some RCMB and 11Warriors threads tonight. RCMB in particular because I know they are coming from a place of fear - OSU will continue to recruit at a high level and have the coaching horsepower; MSU still good coaches but you could see when OSU was on par and running at 100% that MSU simply didnt have the same athletes to go with them.
They have like a 4000+ posts thread on the UM job search - it is beyond the pale.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:39 PM ^
Yup! That "official UM coach search" thread is quite amazing to me. Only on an MSU site will one find an official coach search thread for their chief rival. One of their fans even sarcastically commented, "congrats, guys. This is the most viewed thread in the history of this web site." It's pretty pathetic, if you ask me. Yeah, I was reading their site, but I rarely do that and when I do, it's just to get a good laugh. I usually only check it when something major happens, which was today. It's so incredibly obvious that they are nervous now.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:42 PM ^
Believe it or not, the OSU fans are not nearly as idiotic as the MSU fans. MSU fans are not used to football success, so to them, anything UM does that everyone outside of Sparty Nation thinks is good won't be good in their minds.
December 30th, 2014 at 9:12 PM ^
OSU = old money
MSU = new (fleeting) money
It shows.
December 31st, 2014 at 12:54 AM ^
MSU knows that it's football success is based to a large degree on Michigan's self-inflicted incompetence. It's a zero-sum game. As we get better, it negatively impacts them.
OSU on the other hand, does not view it as a zero-sum game. They know from history that they can be good and we can be good at the same time.
December 30th, 2014 at 8:50 PM ^
