I'm not sure what's worse... This board watching a Lions game or this board watching a Michigan game. It's the first half and they'd moved the ball and have played good D. I can assure you that everything will be alright.

but wondered how long It'd take to see this. I still think there's a 5% chance SF keeps him (or tries). Question is if they do, does he stay? Unlikely for both but you never know. As for the Lions, I can't help but agree with most if the sentiment. This game should be at least 13-0. The OL has regressed hard this year even when they have the starters healthy from last year. Today they have a rookie RT in. Stafford is playing like last year in that he's not taking what's there. He's getting the snap and just starting down the predetermined target to an inc, sack or int. This year he's done a good job of limiting turnovers by just taking what is there, getting rid of it quick. The defense will eventually get scored on. I hope hearing that they're in the playoffs didn't let their guard down. They're the kind of team that could easily lose to the South winner. They're good but they seem to scrape by too much. Most games the opponent hands in there too long, etc. Good teams just beat them from the go like the Pats.

Linehan knew what detroit was....spread it out and throw to set up the run. However, with Lombardi it seems we have become a power team with no ability to spread it out at all.

Guess he didn't learn anything from Brees and Payton down in New Orleans.

I'm 55 and watched this act for a LONG time.  Big game = Lions playing small and stupid.

BTW over/under on Stafford's Wonderlic?  I'm putting the number at 15.

...in the League's Worst QB competition.

  • Manziel 3-8 for 32 yds, team has 2 first downs
  • McCown 2-10 for 27 yards, team has 1 first down

I'm leaving Manziel in the lead (by some distance) because we're comparing his best-ever NFL game to one of McCown's worst, and because he's up against a much worse defense.

Clausen, surprisingly, has already played himself out of the running. Ryan Lindley is in the on-deck circle.
