I miss that guy on ESPN 96.1 - the show was so much better with it had Baligian, Killer, & Terp.
December 18th, 2014 at 3:27 PM ^
Agreed. I always liked Terp.
December 18th, 2014 at 3:32 PM ^
with Sean & Terp. It was just out of the blue one day, Terp was gone. Sean is a bit too much of a SPARTY slappy for me to handle without any "shade of blue".
December 18th, 2014 at 4:54 PM ^
And I have heard this from people close to the situation (yes..."sources"),is that it wasn't personal but Sean wanted his own show so ESPN 96.1 canned Terp to make that happens. And that's pretty much it.
But the company that owns ESPN 96.1 tends to can every left and right, though.

I like Terp. Baligian is a moron. Honestly I don't know how he has a job in radio. He can't even speak a complete sentence.
December 18th, 2014 at 3:42 PM ^
Whenever Baligian asks rhetorical questions to prove one of his weak-ass arguments, his voice gets progessively higher. It's incredibly annoying.

1) Bill Simonson actually knowing something ... hahahahaha.
2) Don't toy with me.

I'll listen
December 18th, 2014 at 3:31 PM ^
You mean I can listen to 107.3 in West Michigan without wanting to blow my brains all over the dash? The commute home might not be so bad today
December 18th, 2014 at 3:33 PM ^
As a West Michigan transplant to the east side, Lol at having a bad commute.
December 18th, 2014 at 3:38 PM ^
It's that our local sports radio stations are the worst here, I cannot stand either of the afternoon shows so having WTKA take over is a welcome change.
December 18th, 2014 at 4:24 PM ^
I never enjoyed the S Curve in my 20 years of GR.. But, yeah.

Which is why I moved from the Chicago burbs back to West Michigan. 10 minutes to work, baby!
December 18th, 2014 at 3:44 PM ^
Redundantly, I hate Sparty. Directly, I hate their ignorant fan base. Living in West Michigan is purgatory for me. Sports talk over here might as well be the MSU radio station. I am disappointed in Sam of late but what a relief to have a little bias in my direction.
December 18th, 2014 at 3:52 PM ^
It absolutely is Sparty radio over here. In the morning, Ryan Schuiling at least tries to be fair and has respect for UM but he's a Sparty at heart and it shows. I just can't listen to Baligian and his silent fat partner on the way home.
December 18th, 2014 at 4:26 PM ^
Ryan Schuling is a pud for a normal talk show. Good play-by-play. He went to Central, but has always been an MSU slappy. Never understood that.
December 18th, 2014 at 4:58 PM ^
Schulling is the only reason I listed to 107.3 in the morning. He is a Sparty but is a way better radio guy than anyone else in West Michgian (he can kind of be an ass on social media but eh, who cares about that).
That guy they have on there filling in with him recently, Scheaffee (sp?), now that guy is a complete Michigan hating slappy....even more so than Bentley. At least Bentley was funny sometimes.

Sam said that his gut tells him that the search would end if Jim turns down the job and Les is offered the job. He stated that he feels Les wants it so bad that he would say yes and then talk about money later.
December 18th, 2014 at 3:50 PM ^
What I don't understand about Marcus Ray's argument is that, it doesn't matter what the hell UM pays a coach; the expectations will still always be championships, and quickly. If UM hired a coach for $1, that wouldn't change a damn thing about how fans want the program to succeed. Paying someone 8 million doesn't change the pressure. All it does is help you get the person most likely to actually meet those expectations.
And I cannot disagree with Ray more about the impact of an elite coach. That is about the single most important thing you can 'buy' to improve your college football program. History has shown that elite coaches walk into supposedly 'bad' situations and achieve very quick results. Saban, Carroll, Meyer, Stoops, Saban again, Meyer again, Jimbo Fisher (kind of), Chizik all have seen immediate results when the right coach is found. Coaches are much more imporant in college than players to sustained success.
December 18th, 2014 at 3:54 PM ^
Yeah I was trying to figure out who that idiot was calling in, then I realized it was Marcus Ray...whoops!

This Spaprty homer who is saying that Harbaugh can't recruit is full of it.
December 18th, 2014 at 4:18 PM ^
(caller called in and asked why Michigan wasn't going after younger coaches, naming Les and Stoops).
December 18th, 2014 at 6:45 PM ^
I caught about 20 minutes of the show. Two straight Spartan callers were trying desperately to convince themselves Harbaugh wasn't coming. They're sweating it out as much as us.

Schissel (sp) must feel like he was run over by a bus. About a month ago he was in the news with his "sports stuff" comment and now he may have signed off on a 49 million $$ hired gun.
