This is bad news not good news. Remember no news is/was good news. Now that the national media has given this legs it becomes a bigger uphill battle to get Harbaugh. I feel deja vu....

In my opinion it is good news. Now the whole world knows the ball is in Harbaughs court. Hacket made a move and stuck it to him. I feel it speeds up the process and shows the whole football world Michigan is not playing around here.

I hope you're right! I really wish I had your optimism. Unfortunately for me only time will tell....
December 17th, 2014 at 8:13 PM ^
I have been silent on this topic until today and for very good reason. I really dont understand how people can be so optimistic about Harbaugh coming to Michigan without validity. Although maybe that's just my weakness. Tonight i will drink to the thought of this becoming reality. Cheers my friends!!!

how bad will we look that he was going to be the highest paid coach in CFB or NFL and went somewhere else? Unless someone in the NFL matches or exceeds.

Can confirm. My son is the next HC at Michigan. You heard it here first folks. Maybe. Maybe? Yeah, you did.

2014 will be the year of epic homecomings: Lebron and Harbaugh. Michigan and Ohio. Notice how Michigan will sneak in at the end of the year and score the bigger upset. #smallvictories

As much as I dislike the toolbag that is Tim Kawakami I think I'll take his opinion that Harbaugh would rather be in the NFL than at Michigan. Really, just setting my expectations low so I'm not devastated if he turns Michigan down but obviously elated if he comes here.

the internet would have gone up in flames if we had hired Jim Harbaugh, loudly decried by all as a traitor months before, coming off a 4-8 season at Stanford.

Also consisder that Barnacle Bill probably screwed up any offers/negotiations/coaching search.
To answer your question though, I don't think we'll truly ever know what happened.

Sorry for format. I am ignoring the source and thinking just about the words themselves.

Eh, he assumes Harbaugh leaked the offer. Could've come from somewhere in the AD, right?
Even so, Harbaugh wants $$$, and even if he doesn't come to Michigan I can't fault him for using Michigans amazingly generous offer as leverage against NFL teams. Hopefully he doesn't fuck us over by stringing us out though.

Look at this A-hole. What an A-hole. A-hole.
Little doubt Mark Davis could beat any Michigan offer to Harbaugh. I heard he had double this out there for Gruden, who walked. Stay tuned

NFL owners would be pissed at Davis if he offered double michigans offer. It makes no sense, becuase nobody negotiates like that. All the coaches would be due for pay raises.

I had to google Mark Davis (should've known) and god damn is he unfortunate looking.

either to debunk this or to support it or dance around it. Then Harbaugh will probably get asked about it in if postgame presser if not sooner. Makes me nervous how all that could go. We've crossed the rubicon. At least Harbaugh doesn't consider the 49ers a damn fine football team any more.

Cryptic? From Hutch.
After the UM coaching search is over, take note of all of the idiot "experts" who got it wrong. You'll find it is a common theme with them.
