to Miles without doing his due diligence in getting Harbaugh than he's a moron. Miles wouldn't be the worst hire, but I'm sick of ADs limiting their head coaching scope to a few or one guy, especially when there's a better option out there.

It's very doubtful. I can't imagine all of that is done while Brady is still the HC. Even if back channel stuff has been discussed, they'll wait at least a few days to announce the replacement. Out of respect to Brady, if nothing else.

Can we PLEASE have nice things. Painful decade.

Is it just me or does anyone else feel once Hackett delivers the news to Hoke that he is fired, Hoke stands up and claps and tells him how great he was at executing that termination? I guess I can dream!

Only if Hackett has been practicing...and practicing well.

Has this rumor been Raback'd or BK-Finest'd? Until then count me skeptical.

So a lot of smoke on GBW today about Michigan still having a good shot with Harbaugh, refuting Shefty's reports.

You know, I will be one of the first to say that I hope we are about to witness change, but there is a part of me that reads virtually every thread in the event it needs to go that is almost dreading the modding part of my job here tomorrow either way. In one scenario, too much jubilation (which is not in itself bad, but when it starts causing 502 and 504 timeouts for thousands of bloggers...), and in th other, dear god....

Too much jubilation? Who are you, Mussolini?

while understandable is a bit unseemly. Brady Hoke did not intend to fail here. He did not intend for this program to sink as low as it did. He tried and failed. There is nothing to celebrate if he loses his job. It is merely the first step in a series of steps the program needs to take to get back where it needs to be.
December 1st, 2014 at 6:15 PM ^
Under home after that one year, the program floated aimlessly in mediocrity after a quite embarrassing low point in the rr era. Unacceptable but could have been worse.
Time to move on.

So we have a meeting... now let's see if there is anything else hiding behind the curtain.

It's Pelini! He just became available and does MANBALL!!! Holy Crud, the timing of this with Pelini's firing makes it possible. I'm scared...
December 1st, 2014 at 5:27 PM ^
I would take Pelini as a DC along with Miles. I would have us pay extra to have Pelini coach Defense.
bonus: he leads the team on the field with his new pet wolverine held high in the air.

If Harbaugh decides to stay in the NFL and we go hire Les Miles, is it possible for any LSU players to transfer to Michigan? If they do are they immediately eligible or must they sit out a year? Lastly, how would this affect any of the LSU recruits? Could we see any of them waiver over to a Michigan commit.

No.
No.
No.
You are giving Miles too much credit. No LSU players or recruits are following him to Michigan.
December 1st, 2014 at 5:34 PM ^
unless they are using the 5th year grad rule, any transfers would have to sit out.
recruits are fair game though.
December 1st, 2014 at 6:02 PM ^
5th year grads at LSU?
I thought Miles put all his kids into the NFL after 2 or 3 years.
