I really want to know who the crowned one is.

Triple G man!
He's got some moles - said Brandon would be fired next week earlier this week. Says there was a deadline for Brandon to turn himself in by Friday - either resign or be fired.
Considering he had the Hoke hire, the Brandon fire...err resign, and the letter to the Prez by various players (even if he embellished the contents) I will not doubt the crowned one.

If we have any San Fran readers who see this in a few hrs curious on your take of Vic Fangio and his liklihood to follow JIm if he left. I just did a diary on Harbaugh's years at Stanford and the first 3 were not very good on defense but then he got Fangio from his brother John and Stanford's defense had a Mattison in 2011 surge. But that was his only year ever in college so I am curious if people who follow the 49ers closely have a view of Fangio in college - completely different job than the pros.
Otherwise we might have to open the bank for Muschamp who is a pretty elite D-coordinator if a sucky HC.

I would think he'd be a candidate for the SF job if Harbaugh leaves. And I'm sure he'll have plenty of NFL DC offers and as you stated, only one here spent in the college game. I doubt he comes with Harbaugh, JMO.

Don't forget about Roman either.
We'd want them both. And I've been saying for awhile now that we need to be paying more attention to all three.
Obviously Jim Harbaugh and a slab of dog shit is probably an upgrade over what we have now. But like I keep saying, even about the timeline of hiring the coach. Is Michigan in a position where they can lose out on the best options?
I say no.
Michigan needs one of it's top HC candidates and that HC needs his top OC and DC candidates.
We need a winning PROGRAM. Even if that means our OC/DC get poached after some continued success. You think LSU fans mind losing Jimbo Fisher and Bo Pelini after what they brought and built at LSU?

Fangio is a career NFL guy... he had literally never coached in college before coming to Stanford in 2010 at age 52. He's an obvious candidate to replace Harbaugh with the Niners and even if he wasn't there are likely NFL HC and DC gigs that he'd be guaranteed to get.
If you're looking for potential DCs on the 49ers staff, Jim Leavitt seems a more likely (though somewhat unpleasant) option, provided he doesn't get the Kansas job.

I searched but could not find these tweets either - several people are referencing it and said they saw this snippet on Channel 4 as well. You can embed tweets by finding the "..." under the tweet and choosing "Embed Tweet". It will give you the code, which you can just copy and paste into the blog while in "Plain Text Mode".

Sweet, and according to my Facebook page Ebola has hit Flint too.

Don't worry, I live in Omaha, you know, where they take pretty much every single Ebola patient. So comforting to know that they're all just right down the road, really brings joy to the heart.

or better yet, an audio or video recording of Jack Harbaugh saying this, I'll believe it. Random anonymous tweets that are reported in the media—even if it's mainstream outlets in Detroit—are just typical internet/social media bullshit rumor-mongering.
I sure as hell hope it's real, though.

I'm not surprised that it was taken out of context and blown up to rumors of Jack actually saying it on TV. When Bernie said it I was sitting there like "what...what???"
November 1st, 2014 at 9:10 AM ^
That sounds more reasonable. If Jack H had said it on video in an interview at 11:30 PM last night it would have been all over the internet by 11:31 PM.
But the way you describe it sounds realistic - of course as the story is retold 5 more times, it will turn into Jack Harbaugh was guest sports news anchoring last night for Channel 4, while Bernie went over to do weather and as Jack was throwing it over to Bernie he said "hey guess what I heard at Weekend at Bernie's? Jim will coach the Wolverines if offered".

Bernie is not exactly a rumor monger is he? I mean, he's been around Detroit sports FOREVER. He doesn't exactly just drop BS rumors left and right. If he's dropping something like that on a live broadcast, I would think a pretty significant source must have told him that. Doesn't mean it is 100% true, but it sounds like a pretty solid rumor--way better than some random internet tweet.
