If there's one program we've managed to dominate since the dawn of the RR and Hoke era, it's Indiana.

Might just be selective memory here, but Im pretty sure we were dominating Minnesota too.
EDIT: Please let us keep the domination going over Indiana, not sure I could take a loss to Indiana.

"Dominate" is not quite the word I'd use to describe our three games against IU (2009, 2010, 2013) in the RichRod/Hoke era. All three were anyone's game midway through the 4th quarter.

The '99 game was a close call. Indiana had Randle-El. Michigan nearly blew a 17 point lead, giving up 24 unanswered. After gacking up a big lead against Illinois. Ah, the good ol' days.

Here we go. Beat Indiana!!!

Last year's Indiana game was one of our least active events for "The State Of Our Open Threads" as well. Fourth smallest thread (home games tend to produce smaller threads) and the third worst swearing efficiency at 8.64. We only gave 94 fucks during that game too and only wanted Borges fired twice and Mattison once. Ultimately, it fell into the "Satisfaction" quadrant of the Mood Chart.

Beat Indiana? We are way beyond that at this point:

To me the only intrigue in this game is this. If we win, then Hoke gets to coach another week. If we lose, then he should go into witness protection.
OK, is this commentary over the top? Of course it is. But so is all this losing.

Witness Protection? Who would be more inconspicous in the southwest?

the offense showed signs of improvement before playing two of the best defenses in the B1G. This is a great game for them to get back on track.
This week also gives the defense a good test.

What a wonderful place to enjoy winters! Lack of humidity made the extra-hot summers quite palatable for me as well. Hope the game gives you lots of enjoyment!

Who knew there were so many fun images about Indiana on google?

Indiana is the worst big Ten team. They can't pass or defend. The only thing they can do is run.
November 1st, 2014 at 12:41 AM ^
They can run...... but they can't hide. Hooskers.
Hüskers.
With your sprawling leafy campus with all that... limestone.

Obvious statement for the day - Hoke has made us truly disgustingly pathetic - we are the Northwestern of the 70's & 80's under his fine leadership - "Well, he had a good week of practice, but didn't execute". Here we sit in his 4th year at the helm and we are all sheepishly HOPING we beat IU, as opposed to wondering when we can put the 2nd string in and debating the merits of whether to run up the score or not. If we by somehow lose tomorrow, he also needs to RESIGN by 8pm.
November 1st, 2014 at 12:14 AM ^
Michigan might be bad but they are nowhere near Northwestern of the 70's or early 80's those teams went years without beating Big Ten teams.

We are Michigan of the late 1950s through the late middle 1960s. Storied past, with multiple dynastic periods... suffering through a period of sustained mediocrity, with an occaisional standout year...

There's a game tomorrow? If Michigan gets a win, it could be one of the best weekends in at least 5 years? I mean, seriously.
