ND Star Safety with high praise for college life
I came across an SI article on Max Redfield, a star safety for Notre Dame who was once committed to USC. What's funny is his (spot on) quote about life at ND.
"“I knew it was going to be rough,” says Redfield, who committed to Notre Dame at the 2013 Under Armour All-America Game. “Nightlife would be a lot worse, the women would be a lot worse, the weather -- a lot worse. But it’s a business decision. I know for a fact it will pay off in the future even though it’s rough now.”

But that's a good thing. Go Giants!

That's just not true. For example, one of ND's star linebackers dated this superhot girl a couple of years ago, Lennay Kekua, who was definitely as hot as any Song Girl USC could serve up. Granted, it was a long-distance relationship with a sad ending, but still ... .
Redfield just needs to know where to look. Maybe the alumni players can give him advice.

I just don't see SECcashnassadvantage as a smiley face. His/her comments trend more frowny-faced from what I've seen.

lennay kekua was manti te'o's imaginary girlfriend----ya know, a joke.
also, please stop with the U of M coed meme. I suspect the male and female attractiveness on any campus tends to be relatively equivilent. Hence, if your opinion of Ann Arbor women is true, then it pretty much covers you and your friends as well (if you went to Mich)

is a town called East Lansing, where the ladies are loose, and the men get so intoxicated, they rarely recognzie that you are swooping in on their co-eds. If you didn't take advantage of it when you were in AA, I suggest you offer this advice to those you care about.

Is this the "nass" part of your user name? That the SEC has advantages in cash and ass?
I was thinking that it's funny how important this seems to be to you, just from this thread, but it turns out that might just be the tip of the iceberg.

is obviously as good looking as Tom Brady, so he knows hot.
(Just to clarify, Tom Brady is a very good looking quarterback who plays for the New England patriots and I am questioning how good looking you are because you seem very into looks and you are kind of coming off like a jackass, judging every woman in Ann Arbor and South Bend.)

Living in Tallahassee, this is so true. Every day, I feel like I see the most beautiful girl I have ever seen here. And it's almost always pool weather.
October 15th, 2014 at 10:23 AM ^
On the other hand, you can actually talk to the girls in Ann Arbor without wanting to chop your own head off, so there's that.
October 15th, 2014 at 10:40 AM ^
Girls with brains who aren't each dressed exactly alike, whose breasts don't have little lines on them--all good things. I happen to have lived in A2, Gainesville, and (now) Tallahassee, and while the girls here are superficially pretty, the hip ones--fewer and farther between. I would take UM women any day of the year. . .
Would love to hear some of the women chime back on this for once. Stuff like this is probably why the female population here is pretty low to begin with.

Breasts with lines on them? Pictures or it didn't happen.
Just kidding -- do NOT post these pictures as I don't want to suffer the wrath of Mrs. Stephen R. Kass.

= cheap boob jobs. Incision scars usually on the underboob.
Note: I am NOT an MDoctor...just been to too many strip clubs in Atlanta to be able to forget the sight.

I wouldn't have guessed. "Cheap boob job" sounded like medical jargon and threw me off.

I really wanted to say something but didnt' want to come off as a harpy. I went to U of M for grad school and an engineering school for undergrad. Men at both places were always ripping on us for not being pretty enough. It drove me crazy! I'm not into make up or fashion, but I like football and Star Trek and I can kick your ass in math! I will also add that some very hot men are also total mimbos and it would drive me crazy trying to talk to them about "GTL".
October 15th, 2014 at 11:49 AM ^
Stuff like, "the women would be worse" (how exactly?) is really not very mature. I hope he grows out of it.

Srsly, this topic comes up all the time and it is super annyoying. I went to Michigan, too, and honestly, most of my friends and sorority sisters are very pretty.
October 15th, 2014 at 2:29 PM ^
It would drive me crazy when guys would say to me and my friends "There are no good looking women here". I would be like, "We're right here, dumb ass!" I think because we choose to not dress in a trashy fashion, it is hard to see the prettiness that really is there (for real, not just on the inside, on the outside, too). It was kind of rough on the self esteem for a while, then you realize those guys are losers.

If your 8:00 calc & physics classes were anything like mine, the guys arived at the last minute, unshaven & wearing clothes that were maybe one step up from pjs.

It's a curious comment to say the least. While I agree that he definitely downshifted weather & women wise going to ND over USC I dont understand why he considers it a better "business decision" to go there. USC academically is every bit the equal to ND and certainly their track record in getting players to the NFL is just as good if not better than ND so I dont understand why he thinks that way.
What he should've said was I thought Lane Kiffen was a royal douchebag and It didnt seem like Kelly was as bad.
October 15th, 2014 at 9:58 AM ^
Comparably speaking, USC is right up there to ND in academics. And on paper, most would probably prefer the warmer weather in CA. But when it comes down to it, I don't think USC can hold ND's nut sac, in an academic battle. My hire is on the ND grad, hands down.
October 15th, 2014 at 10:54 AM ^
USC's grad programs are pretty comparable to ND's but Notre Dame offers a better undergrad education.

I would be surprised if Redfield is concerned about the relative merits of a degree from either school. But then, I didn't follow the link.

Kelly's tongue always fascinated me in this picture. WTF is going on there? It looks like Luca Brasi's tongue when he gets choked out at the bar in The Godfather.
