Need help watching UM games this season
So I recently took a new job in which I'll be working full weekend days during the fall across the midwest. I will not be able to watch games live. Seeing as I'm in the midwest and my job will have me around sports fans the entire time, I don't think I can avoid the score for the entire weekend. I think I can make it through most Saturdays until the evening to see it "live". However, I will be on the road, so no DVR. I know MGoVideo does a great job, but those games go up in the middle of the night, which isn't really an option.
Does anyone have any ideas of how I could watch "live" online that night? Any help would be immensely appreciated since I haven't missed a game in its entirety since 96 and am out of ideas.

Dish Network has built-in slingbox that you can use to watch live TV or recorded shows from your DVR from anywhere with an internet connection.

Sounds like a great thing for those that have it. Unfortunately, I'm stuck with Time Warner.

Gotcha, wasn't sure if you were able to switch. Might be able to get a slingbox and use it with Time Warner.
Not sure how that would work or if it would allow access the a DVR.

buy a Slingbox - http://www.amazon.com/Sling-Media-SB370-100-Slingbox-M1/dp/B00LIP10KK/r…
It's much better than the reviews indicate, most people are technologically challenged.

Seconded - my experience with Slingbox has been absolutely great. Configuration is a bit challenging for those that haven't dealt with modifying routers and setting up port forwarding entries, but once that's done the viewing experience is excellent

Agreed, I think your best and easiest option would be to get a slingbox, then you wouldn't have to worry about seeing the score accidently, and you know you will have it when you need it.,

TiVo is another option.
You can get one and use a CableCard from TWC.
They are expensive and sometimes frustrating (especially setting up a CableCard), but the features are awesome. You could TiVo the game, then stream over WiFi and/or download to your device wherever you are.

It's settled then.

I don't know about seeing it same-day just because of the TV agreements and how they work, but I could be missing something there. I believe the Big Ten Network site has a list of hotels in the conference's approximate geographic area which carry the network, so that may help a little bit. If you have cable and your provider also carries the Big Ten Network, you should be able to get access to BTN2Go, which usually has the games as soon as they end if they were on BTN, and as soon as midnight on Sunday if the game is on ABC/ESPN. The problem with UConn last year was that there was no reciprocating agreement with the AAC, so BTN could not show the content.

I've used BTN2Go in the past for live games and found it helpful. Any clue if they display the score before you click into watching the game?

If memory serves, BTN2GO allows you to hide the scores when watching replays of games. I believe football games aren't available for replay until the next day, though.
Honestly can't recall if Watch ESPN allows you to hide scores, also, but it should

If you have a good connection where you will be (hotel?), some TV packages now let you stream your dvr to a tablet or phone.

Have you looked into Slingbox? I think it will allow you to access your TV, including your DVR, through an internet portal. You can control it any everything.

Yeah slingbox is great, you can use it like a dvr from your home tv. My brother and I use it for ravens games since we are in new york. Had a family wedding a couple years back and all watched after the wedding after missing the game, it works great.

Can you watch a game later from that or other sites?

best bet might be to take the red line down to addison and walk over to Rockit (wrigleyville) on Clark. That's a pretty easy ride and you'll probably want a CTA Upass to get around anyway.

Does anyone know how I can listen to the radio broadcasts with Dierdorf and Brandstatter down here in North Carolina?

mgoblue.com
-sports
--football
---multimedia
by getting to the football tab during the season, I think the radio info will automatically show up on the right side of the page.

I'm going to need help too. Like can someone provide me with a therapist during and after all games?
August 11th, 2014 at 1:04 PM ^
I'm available to help. Though I'm not licensed nor am I educated to be a therapist. I'm very considerate, a great listener and won't sugarcoat anything. $150/hr. No negotiating.
