All 7 students showing up before kickoff get to play on special teams.

I don't expect much more than Bando, but even position drills for 60 minutes would be good. Even if they do half of what they do in a real practice - as long as they do it with full intensity - then that is something that I would love to see. And I can't imagine that with people watching, the intensity will be low (unless it's all punting and stretching, I suppose).
Man, I'm still on vacation then, too. If I didn't have young kids I'd be flying or driving back for this.
Hoke is doing something that shows progress. This isn't the 80s, Fort Schembechler is over. Give people access, even if it is limited access.
*unless you win championships...then, if you want to close the gates and lock everything down, go for it.
So you screwed up the spring game for my bachelor party and just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber you go and do something like this....and totally redeem yourself!!
...nice twist. I thought this was going to screw up the wedding!
Mistake #1 my friend...
The plan seemed grand...drink every time an actual play is run from scrimmage in an 11 on 11 scenario with downs and yard markers and referees.
Everyone went home sober.
MLive: Michigan football to host free, public scrimmage at Michigan Stadium on Aug. 16
The scrimmage will be open to the public, and will be free to anyone wishing to attend.
"We're going to have an open scrimmage in the Big House, it'll be part practice but a lot of scrimmage (situations)," Hoke said. "It'll be 8 o'clock at night, to help us get ready for night games and I think it'll be good and healthy for our guys to get out and play in front of people.
"We're excited about that."
Michigan says full details -- as far as parking situations, etc -- are still being finalized, and full arrangements for the scrimmage will be released in the coming days.
Better have lots of parking.
The last pre-season scrimmage at the Big House had 109,000 people attend it.
Even just an internet stream on BTN2Go or something. Make it happen!
It's not gonna happen.

UofM - only 2 holes open starting at 4pm, $30.
Golf and Outing - no parking
Pioneer - Open all day - $45

like swimwear.
Just curious...
Aww yes, very exciting! Get a sneak peak of all the new guys before the year starts! Surprising that he's doing this but the fans and media will eat it up.
and maybe can make it another big recruiting weekend
sounds like a great idea
It's a chance to spend some time inside football's Valhalla watching athletes many of us have eagerly followed since their high school days at night, and all for free.
Plus I get the opportunity to run steps inside the stadium again.
