Ah, yes! Let's exchange cliches!

It's Jimmy's and Joe's, not X's and O's.

What's your comeback? This is going to be a really witty conversation!

reads like this: "MSU beat our ass. We need to step our game up"

Were you ever an all conference athlete in HS? Have you ever coached at the varsity level? Or even HS level? hahaha I kid, I kid...

It seems like not too long ago that we had ZERO depth at QB. Back to the good ol' days of Jr/Sr starting QB's who have been in the system for a while. I bet coach Carr would have loved this kid! The future looks bright for UofM football, lets just get through this year!

You need to get a commit to use as a forcing function, as in...

"I love you kid, but if you think I'm going to bet my job letting you drag out this commitment thing until I'm totally boxed in with no other options, sorry."

Commit because you want to be at Michigan and you want to compete for the job.

Crazy to think that the Michigan QB depth chart in 2016 will have three Catholic League quarterbacks on it - Shane Morris (De La Salle), Garrett Moores (Catholic Central), and now Malzone (Rice).

Being a Catholic League alum from not THAT long ago, I remember when passing was reserved for 4th and 26 in the last minute only. The game, it be a'changin.

If the wham never loses yardage, how the hell did they end up in 4th and 26?  Actually I can answer that as a CC alum, it was a holding penalty on second down.  No team in history has been less able to escape a ten yard penalty in two downs or less than the Shamrocks.

Congrats! Seems like a good commit. As quoted in 247sports:

"The session (throwing for Doug Nussmeier on 04/28) was considerably impressive as it caught the attention of about 15 other schools who subsequently would see him in the past couple weeks, including Stanford and Tennessee among others."

"247Sports National Analyst Steve Wiltfong says Malzone is the #1 QB on many college boards."

"247Sports National Analyst Steve Wiltfong says Malzone is the #1 QB on many college boards."

In the strict sense of the word, I highly doubt whether Wiltfong's statement is true. He might be the top quarterback who's considering schools like BGSU, Wake Forest, etc., but I'm guessing no school in the country has evaluated every single QB and decided that Malzone is the best of the bunch.

This isn't the NFL where you can draft anyone you want as long as you have the #1 pick. If Brad Pitt gets Angelina Jolie, the rest of us have to settle for...I dunno...Amy Schumer.

Like those guys who originally threw baseballs.

I think its a perfect training ground for "throwing with accuracy" and knowing for many years that you have to be willing to make changes in your throwing motion along the way.

Also love that he's solid in big games, as I anticipate some of those at the D1 level !

Its my distinct hope that Nussmeier is still in Ann Arbor to see him thru to a senior.  But that is a side issue.  I also hope Malzone helps "organize" his fellow recruits like Speight appeared to do.  Seems like the incoming guys can help to get inside the ears of their peers pretty well, even if its just to connect with other commits and enjoy as a group, being future Wolverines.

I realize this is going to be a small class, but with each commit the coaches can concentrate harder on the ones left.  I am hoping that one day soon, Harris will recommit with solidity....
