Ohio down early.
You should. Really hard.

I did this for a lot of my picks. It's a nice way to hedge against disappointment.

Same here. Here's hoping that Craft's last game is a loss to Dayton today.

I have Dayton in the Sweet 16. I really need them to win considering my house in on the line this year.

You bet downton abbey on a basketball game?
Yes. Cora's pissed.
for spelling downton properly.

OSU is in the Final Four in my bracket. They'll probably lose today.
March 20th, 2014 at 12:32 PM ^
have to question your final four picks.
March 20th, 2014 at 12:34 PM ^
I really need to question it.

You're out of your mind if you think Ohio gets to the final four.

Great start for Dayton. Karma for OSU refusing to play teams like Dayton in basketball and Cincinnati in football.
March 20th, 2014 at 12:59 PM ^
They played Cincy in 2006, 2004, 2002, and 1999.
Is that so... welp, why the stoppage!
Simple.
In 1999 and 2002 Cincy was a C-USA team. In 2004 and 2006 Mark Dantonio was the head coach at Cincy and Tress wanted to help his former DC out by allowing him to lose a game in the shoe. In 2007 Brian Kelly took over at Cincy and built them into a scary opponent. The reason OSU doens't play Cincy is the same reason PSU doesn't play Pitt, their fan base would go bucknuts if they lost.

"Scoochie Moochie"
Thank god for Bill Raftery.

Not going to lie, this game is mostly just making me depressed about Michigans defense. But hey its still fun to watch osu struggle.
March 20th, 2014 at 12:40 PM ^
Some weak calls going against Dayton with Craft. He's just throwing his body around and gets a call without being touched.
March 20th, 2014 at 12:41 PM ^
Come on Dayton how are you going to let Aaron Craft carve you up?
March 20th, 2014 at 12:42 PM ^
Let him in the paint (particularly in transition) and he doesn't suck. It's when he tries to shoot that he's hilarious.
Dayton's in good shape if they just don't turn it over.

here in the early going.

gotten more mileage out of a 12 point game than della valla did after nebraska? the way every announcer has talked about him since that game you would think hes destined for the an NBA lottery pick at the end of the year....

Not sure if this was discussed at all over the weekend, but what is with the "Spartans Magic" shirts? Shouldn't it be "Spartan's Magic" or "Spartans' Magic" because it is possessive? I know we caught flack for the WE ON shirts but it was an acronym and clearly way beyond any Spartan logic just like Mike Hart's "little brother" anology that got turned into us calling them Little Brother for eternity.
Not a huge fan of Adidas' canned sayings on shirts. Just not "The Wolverine Way" in my humble e-pinion.
At least Wolverine isn't plural, like so many other adidas team shirts I've seen (such as "The Bears Way" or "The Badgers Way"). That just sounds stupid.
Overall it's still cheesy as heck.

Interesting...Dayton is hanging very tough...for now, anyway.
I do expect OSU to win comfortably when all is said and done, but hey -- I recall saying that the last time they played Penn State, too. So who knows.

I have a feeling I'm really going to regret picking Wisconsin. I picked Ole Miss against them last year and I figured ''There's no way they can get upset again right?''
March 20th, 2014 at 12:58 PM ^
You should be okay. They have a cakewalk to at least the Elite 8.
Well they aren't exactly in a cake walk right now...
No, but they'll turn it around. They're just missing everything right now.
but that is what Wisconsin does for stretches. Misses EVERYTHING!
Oregon is a very experienced team and they already took down Arizona.
I used the same logic in some picks. New Mexico and St Louis screwed me last year, so they can't do it again right? I went all in on New Mexico beating Kansas too.

Good fun by Dayton here. Big bucket by Ohio to stop the 9-3 run.
This game seems a toss up at this point. Going to be an interesting 2nd half. The longer Dayton stays ahead or even within a couple points I'm wondering if Ohio will start tightening up.
Keep it up Dayton.
The Miller brothers look like twins
The one thing you can get so far from the Dayton / Ohio State game is that nobody apparently thinks that second chance shots will be all that necessary for this particular matchup. Combined, the Flyers and the Buckeyes have all of two offensive rebounds to 26 total rebounds. If Dayton can continue with a 3% or so edge in effective FG percentage, that could end up being the difference if other things don't suddenly come to life for Ohio State. Of course, there are 20 minutes left to play yet.
So the big ten is looking good right now.
/s
Feels like OSU will put this game away, but not a good-looking team right now. Craft might not get out of this weekend.
1 handed free throw ftw
and now he can't do jack. Jeez
