Tom Allen Fired at Indiana
Allen fired. IU has 20 million to pay his buyout apparently. Contract was an overreaction to the fake Covid year and having a Heisman finalist/NFL draft pick at QB (presumably).
Probably mostly meaningless, but figure they might interview Hart.

I can see where it would be tough for a Big Ten AD to sell Moore to his higher-ups

I am really wondering who Texas A&M will end up hiring. If their fan/boosters rejected Stoops...what is the better option for them? No way Day goes there. So, who is a better option for them than Stoops?

I hear they want MCDC

I hear they want VKDH

A&M thinks of themselves as Ohio State or Alabama when in reality they're...Purdue with a weird cult.

Absolutely terrible to hear, never want to see a person lose their job in such difficult, trying times...is what I would say for anybody that isn't a fuckin football coach who gets to fall ass first on 20 mil for sucking at his job
Fuck you, Tom Allen. Kevin Wilson (also an asshole) was 100x the coach you ever were, he just didn't get a fake COVID year to pump everybody full of false hope (yes I am salty we lost our streak in 2020)

His record of course was the final factor, but losing Tuggle, Barnier and most of all Penix didn't help. It showed he couldn't develop talent.

Tuggle and Barnier sounds like a CBC version of Starsky and Hutch.

They have DeBoer, Hart, Sheridan and Covid to thank for 2 decent years.

It was a wild ride. We all agreed Allen was a major toolbag, especially for the way he acted at the big house in 2018. Then during the covid season, the amount of slobbering over him here was mind boggling.
I’m going to blame covid brain for people’s dramatic shift on him. I just couldn’t get behind the sudden change of staring to like him.

Tough place to win. I find it very hard to believe Hart or Moore would leave for Indiana. They can do better with some patience.

Syracuse is an interesting job for those guys.

We all knew that was a bad contract for Indiana when they gave him an extension a few years ago.
He should thank Mike Hart, its gone downhill since Mike left for Michigan.

Moore waits for Harbs to test NFL market then takes his job if he leaves or another HC Job. It all seems pretty obvious to me. Why would he flinch and take a dead end job like Indiana?

Indiana's schedule:
2024 Home: Maryland, Michigan, Nebraska, Purdue, Washington
2024 Away: Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, UCLA
2025 Home: Illinois, Michigan State, UCLA, Wisconsin
2025 Away: Iowa, Maryland, Oregon, Penn State, Purdue
2026 Home: Minnesota, Northwestern, Ohio State, Purdue, USC
2026 Away: Michigan, Nebraska, Rutgers, Washington
2027 Home: Iowa, Michigan, Penn State, Rutgers
2027 Away: Illinois, Michigan State, Minnesota, Purdue, USC
2026 and 2027 with 3-4 likely to guaranteed losses. A Ceiling of 8-4 or 9-3 in your 3rd and 4th year as head coach is a recipe for getting fired.
4 years of being paid as a BIG10 HC would be worth it alone for a lot of people, but probably not OC or DC at top 5 programs like Moore.

coach of the MAC championship...come on down. This or maybe they could get the guy from Tulane if they ask really nicely.

These mid to low tier Big Ten jobs are too fickle. If you coach at the Indiana's and Minnesota's there is a window to move on after a successful or great season by those schools standards.

Go after Jaylin Lucas as KR and slot man. Explosiveness offense will need.
