Yeah for sure!

🎶Okay, fine…Fer sure, fer sure she’s a Valley Girl in a clothing store 🎶

On Ventura, there he goes, he just bought some bitchin food.
(I know, it doesn't rhyme, but I did just get back from the Sherman Oaks Whole Foods)
November 5th, 2023 at 9:53 AM ^
This could've happened this weekend at stadiums all across the country. Missed opportunity.
November 5th, 2023 at 7:38 PM ^
It already does happen. But fans usually send the tape directly to head coaches. Of course these coaches all claim they never watch them
November 5th, 2023 at 9:58 AM ^
Just go to the damn helmet mic and be done with it
November 5th, 2023 at 10:10 AM ^
THINK OF THE SMALL SCHOOLS WHO CAN’T AFFORD THEM!!
If Michigan is allowed to play football in 2024 they should be the first team to add them
November 5th, 2023 at 10:31 AM ^
Exactly. The NCAA can easily foot the bill or subsidise 5 helmets with communications if they were concerned about smaller schools affording them. I agree with Brians take. The coaches want sign stealing in the game.
November 5th, 2023 at 3:44 PM ^
It's 6 helmets per team. The cost is definitely less than the cost of 1 athletic scholarship per year.
November 5th, 2023 at 4:31 PM ^
It’s also probably less than the salary you were paying your sign stealer.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:00 AM ^
This really needs to be done. We have a fan base big enough. Go to any CFB game across the country. Video the sidelines. Post on a publicly accessible YouTube page.
WD where are you?
November 5th, 2023 at 10:20 AM ^
WD is updating his SuperGuides or at the MDen
November 5th, 2023 at 11:10 AM ^
Also dress like Conor stallions when you do it
November 5th, 2023 at 12:33 PM ^
If you wear a hat and sunglasses MSU will probably find there is a high likelihood that you are CS in disguise.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:12 AM ^
Brilliant! Certainly this is the first time this plan has been suggested. It’s definitely not the fifth time I’ve seen this same idea on the board in the last week, no sir.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:47 AM ^
Sarcasm noted. But this is the first time it has its own thread, so that part is new.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:50 AM ^
That’s not an improvement, though.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:54 AM ^
I guess my sarcasm was not noted. :)
November 5th, 2023 at 10:57 AM ^
J. R does not find any of this amusing and neither should we. Now knock it off.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:33 AM ^
Nothing says "Purdue" quite like having to troll Michigan by wearing an Ohio State jacket.
Have some self-respect Purdue. At least wear a 1976 Purdue letterman jacket or something like that.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:38 AM ^
Just goes to show how they are joining forces against us
November 5th, 2023 at 10:50 AM ^
You're absolutely right EXCEPT!
It had to be a non-Purdue outfit or else it would be in-game use of technology, which is not what Michigan is accused of. So he had to pretend to be with a different school for it to be particularly biting.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:50 AM ^
He's letting everyone know who is behind the fake outrage.
November 5th, 2023 at 4:26 PM ^
Yes. I fully endorse this behavior. The more quickly this whole story turns into a parody of itself, the sooner it can be dispensed with as a sideshow and everybody can get back to playing and enjoying the games themselves.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:41 AM ^
You could probably do this and pay-per-view charge for it.
We have seen the bylaw enough to know that there is no rule against advance sign-scouting using what is already out there in terms of broadcast TV, internet replays, All 22 video, etc. And there is no stipulation against paying for these things (in fact you are already paying them if you paying for cable or an ISP).
It's a great business opportunity if you do it well. Make sure you simulcast the signs and the sync'd up play, so that it is clear what signs trigger what plays. You could even get an ex-coach involved to narrate what is happening.
Then sell it for each team scouted. They can't stop you if you are just an independent person.
DO IT. Highlight how ridiculous and futile this discussion really is.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:49 AM ^
What you describe isn’t a violation of NCAA bylaws but is a violation of the Copyright Act if you sync it up with the live TV feed. Showing the clock / a play number should be sufficient.
But I’d actually take a different tack: upload Michigan’s signs. (Actually, Michigan should do this themselves). “You think these are so damned useful? Come and stop us.”
November 5th, 2023 at 10:48 AM ^
Exactly. They can.
November 5th, 2023 at 10:49 AM ^
You can. Anyone can. Make it free and public, and it's fair game to the coaches. And, as luck would have it, we now have a totally unaffiliated super fan named Connor Stalions who (theoretically) has ample free time to travel the country, attend Ohio State games, and continuously update his personal (free and public) Youtube page.
November 5th, 2023 at 11:14 AM ^
Lmao I encourage everyone to just take a peek at the team stats column of the Blowsu Rutgers game for a quick laugh.
November 5th, 2023 at 11:16 AM ^
Just dress up as a buckeye or an Alabama or a bulldog and videotaping around the country on Saturdays.
CS can do post analysis and publish on his “CFB signs” channel.
November 5th, 2023 at 11:17 AM ^
CS: if you are reading, this is serious business opportunity. Donate half to M NIL fund.
November 5th, 2023 at 4:49 PM ^
Great idea! We could name the channel StalionsCam.
