Who's watching pro football?

I know the Lions are done for this week, but some Mgobloggers must be watching the NFL today. What are you watching? And eating and drinking? My local team, the Browns, is getting thumped. Whose teams are winning?

Thanks for posting. Aside from Lions games I rarely watch other ones, instead relying on NFL highlights on YouTube. I keep an eye on upcoming opponents as well as the teams in the NFC that are on top that we may be facing in the NFC championship :). Great time to be a Lions fan, forward down the field!

Oh I drank a gatorade/creatine/beta alanine/beets cocktail drink for working out.

I hope some of you were watching the Tigers game the last 5 minutes... truly a great moment in sports at Comerica Park right now as I type this.

Who's crying, I'm not crying 😭...

For those who missed seeing it, Miggy walked on 4 pitches (none of them within a half-foot of the plate) in the bottom of the 7th, then was erased when the next hitter grounded into a double play.  End of career...

NOPE!  Top of the 8th, Miggy grabs his 1st baseman's mitt.  Dan Dickerson (and probably Shep, too) thinking he's only going to warm up the infield, but no!   Miggy is officially announced as the first baseman.

Then magic happens. On the 2nd pitch by reliever Will Vest, the ball is grounded to Cabrera, he backhands it, waves off the pitcher, and wins the race to the bag.

The game then stopped for 10 minutes, the entire Tigers team poured onto the field, his 3 kids also join him, not many dry eyes in the stadium after all this.

You can't script it any better than that!

Baseball.

Bottom 9, 2 outs, Braves down by 1, runner on 2nd, tied the MLB HR record. dinger here wins the game and gets the record.

ETA: Welp - Braves lost 10-9 as Eddie Rosario (who was on the 2019 Twins team that co-own the HR record) flies out.

Looking forward the postseason. GO BRAVES!

Definitely. MLB postseason atmosphere is second to none, IMO. Though I don't watch the NHL, I've heard it's also insane.

Magglio Ordonez in the 2006 ALCS game 6 still gives me chills. Walkoff HR to send the Tigers to the WS in the 9th. That was the year my grandma died. And she was the biggest Tigers' fan I've ever known. When Cecil Fielder hit his 50th HR in 1990,(I was 9,) she was babysitting me. She woke me up to listen to it on the radio.

I'm sure most fans have moments like that, but Magglio in '06....

You’ve heard correct.

There is nothing like postseason hockey. It is the most emotionally draining, yet most exhilarating postseason sport to watch. It is a pure adrenaline rush, especially if you are lucky enough to witness a Game 7 in person.

While hockey isn’t my favorite sport overall, it is absolutely the best postseason sport to watch.

Especially coming from you, I believe it. I watched the Wings' dynasty in the 90s. I remember watching the Roy-Osgood fight.

And thinking back, especially when the baseball playoffs were smaller in terms of teams, hockey rivalries are bloodsport. I still hate the Avalanche. To this day. And I quit watching after the strike that netted Pittsburgh Sid Crosby.

I watched some of the Disney Funday with my kids. It was pretty well done and I liked how they explained what was going on. Best part though was no commercials!!!

Aaaaand Taylor Swift all over the camera for the evening finale. Good for her and him. I'm not hating.

Good night, Mgobloggers. Have great evenings and even better Mondays! Thanks for hanging out on the board with me some today.

Nothing like a day of NFL football after the Lions have won their game for the week. I'm watching it all!

Mahomes is incredible, the plays he makes with his legs when things breakdown. Looking forward to the Frankfurt game against the Fins, now that the Bengals are looking down.
