Miami is beating Bethune Cookman? Surely you jest.

I never jest.
And don't call me Shirley.

Watching NFL. So. Many. Turnovers. Vikings have 3 in the first half. Eagles don’t look impressive either.
edit: and now it’s 4 for the Vikings. 7 on the season. Wow.

Vikings defense is atrocious. Eagles running it down their throats.

The Eagles arguably have the best O-line in the game, which certainly helped Swift have his career night. The Vikings were their own worst enemy, with 4 turnovers, one of which gave the ball to the Eagles at around the Minnesota 5-yard line, and another a touchback that looked like it was going in for 7. I wouldn't put the Vikings' chances at the division title to bed just yet. The Eagles are breaking in new Offensive and Defensive coordinators, so they're still working out the kinks. As a Lionsman - is that a word? Spellcheck thinks so - I see two teams capable of beating us if we don't bring our 'A' game.

Whew. Cashed my 1st half bet on that 61 yard bomb

I'm glad to see that DBs can't just cut offensive blockers in space at the knees anymore. I wish that rule was in place during Grant Newsome's days.

Wisconsin's dirty players would still have chopped him. So many cheap shots by them on our team...
September 14th, 2023 at 10:20 PM ^
True. Outside of Sparty, I can't think of a dirtier team than Wisconsin (and maybe Indiana under Allen).

I’m reading a book about American history from 1865-1900. There’s a section about the cross-continental railroad. The book quotes a Michigan newspaper advocating for the railroad “to unite New-York and the Oregon…”
I wonder if they had known then that this would lead to Rutgers and Oregon being in the same conference, if they would have been so enthusiastic about this endeavor.

Does it say which newspaper? If it's stil around we could organize a boycott.

Given what's happened to print media in the last 100+ years, I think we can feel pretty confident that whatever outlet it was has suffered for its transgressions.

Atrocious spot in favor of Navy.

My opponent in fantasy (USC fan) sat AJ Brown for Jordan Addison, it pisses me off that that clearly awful decision worked.

I Have AJ, and Goedert. Went against Hoeckenson, Jefferson and Hurts over 2 leagues. Good friend who I root against in one, has Devonta Smith.
I hate fantasy football.
Won some money tonight but doesn't make up for the fantasy misery (live +6.5 and +15.5 for Minnesota taken at opportune times, paid off).

Eagles are the team I grew up with and the Lions are my current team. Can’t believe they could be the top two teams in the NFC along with the 49ers. I would have to root for the Lions if they meet in the playoffs. Lions fans have endured so much crap.

Tough loss for Navy. Driving at the end, made a first down in the red zone, spot overturned, ball over to Memphis, clock expires.
Memphis 28 - Navy 24
