Last year it was Jump Around at Wisconsin and dancing at Nebraska

South Detroit, eh?
November 7th, 2022 at 6:07 PM ^
which is....Windsor, eh!
November 7th, 2022 at 6:05 PM ^
Whew, thought you were going to suggest the team take turns shitting in a cooler in Columbus.

I'm just glad I wasn't drinking something as I read your comment!
November 7th, 2022 at 10:04 PM ^
Obligatory....
November 7th, 2022 at 6:07 PM ^
We gonna do Script Ohio for them in the Shoe like the MMB first did?
November 7th, 2022 at 8:46 PM ^
They should absolutely do a script "The" for them to show them how it's done.
November 7th, 2022 at 9:09 PM ^
All your traditions are belong to us…

I love seeing this. Watching kids (okay, they're large kids, but still kids) playing a game they love and just having a *great time* - wherever they are.
Outdamnstanding!

By the way, this is the kind of thing I was envisioning for Mr. Brightside against Sparty.
Michigan stadium didn't do a great job with that "production" - they left the lights on and didn't tell us until it was too late to download the app (like you can download anything from within the stadium).
Could be a pretty cool show but they need to make some changes.

I was impressed how fast Rutger is able to power its lights after shutting them off. Perhaps it is less of an issue with LED. I did notice they left the lights on during Mr. Brightside.

If they are Mercury lights, which many sports venues have, they would take forever to turn back on

Not technically "relevant" but I had a proud dad moment at MetLife this weekend. The sing-along song was Mr. Brightside and my 11 yo and 9 yo sang their hearts out after doing it a couple of times at the Big House. A lot of confused Jets fans in my section.

Lol, kids were rockin' it! Hope you recorded it!
November 7th, 2022 at 7:11 PM ^
I love these teams. So much heart and confidence.
November 7th, 2022 at 7:30 PM ^
This is the culture I was looking for when JH arrived. I'm glad it's arrived too. These kids are having fun, they're prepared, they're confident, and they play as one.
You love to see it.

Gotta give Nebraska credit - lightning up the stadium red to Thunderstruck was pretty cool and deserved a better coach than Mrs. Frost's progeny
Also, anyone else disappointed that Rutgers didn't play something more on-brand like Living on a Prayer or Hungry Heart?
November 7th, 2022 at 9:58 PM ^
Don’t Stop Believing is completely on brand - did you watch the Sopranos finale?
Of course, anything from Bon Jovi or the Boss would be great choices as well.
November 7th, 2022 at 7:51 PM ^
Id have to reactivate my FaceBook account to watch the video…can someone just describe it for me?
November 7th, 2022 at 7:55 PM ^
Between theb3rd and 4th quarter were stobe effect while the crowd sang along to Don't Stop Believin. The UM team was dancing and singing along. Pretty cool.
November 7th, 2022 at 7:56 PM ^
Username checks out
Lol just kidding, it shows a bunch of our offensive linemen in a group singing to Don't Stop Believing, then Sainristil and #80 (Eamonn Dennis?) out on the field dancing together
November 7th, 2022 at 8:16 PM ^
You can just watch it. You don’t need an account.
November 8th, 2022 at 7:33 AM ^
Hmm, it didn’t work for me for some reason
November 7th, 2022 at 7:52 PM ^
I think it's pretty cool, embracing it and making each stadium's tradition a fun thing helps keep our players loose and dispels the nerves too.
Let's hope they're in a good enough mood that we see them dancing to Hang on Sloopy
November 7th, 2022 at 9:29 PM ^
I absolutely hate that song!
BTW, wtf kind of name is "sloopy" anyway? Is it a nickname for a sloppy ho?
November 7th, 2022 at 8:00 PM ^
Another angle. Trigger warning: portrait-mode video.
November 7th, 2022 at 9:31 PM ^
Portrait mode wasn’t good when being on the internet meant a desktop 🖥 computer but now cellphones 📱 are portrait shaped.
November 7th, 2022 at 9:32 PM ^
It looks like most of the fans had already left by then.
November 7th, 2022 at 8:32 PM ^
Don't give up your weekend jobs, fellas!
I love to watch our players having fun, because it means Jim and company are doing something right. These are kids in college, after all, and should be enjoying their time there.
Thanks for posting, fgb1!

That red light gives the stadium a toxic waste processing facility look, or maybe a level of <insert your favorite post-apocalyptic video game here>. Enjoy seeing the team have fun, but I'm not a fan of the SHI.
November 7th, 2022 at 9:16 PM ^
ARE WE NOT SICK OF THAT SONG YET, WHITE PEOPLE??? MOVE ON!
November 7th, 2022 at 10:08 PM ^
Fuck no, no "people" are sick of that song. It is a classic and wish we played it more as we did for years.

You can say "winning changes the culture" but before 2021 even started there was a shift in Harbaugh, and this team. You could see it in the big ten media day interviews. It wasn't a butthole clenched feeling though. It was this very serious "win or die trying" mixed with cool, calm and have fun.
Credit to Harbaugh and to the young men who lead the team last year and continue it this year. Maybe this is a deep post for kids signing but the overall culture and feel to the teams the last two years is awesome.
