The only time I remember them wearing all maize accessories was against Penn State last year. They might of wore them when Adidas was still around, but I can't remember, thankfully.

I guess you too have tried to forget the Maryland game from this year.

Thanks for the reminder.

They did it for Maryland, but this would be the first time with the all blue uni. Win the game!

The blue out ain’t happenin. Nothing from the university coming out about it, so that implies it’s being drummed up by fringe Twitter accounts. Not a recipe for our fans base to pull it off.
October 27th, 2022 at 9:28 PM ^
Team account posted a video with Sainristil saying Go Blue, Wear Blue. Sherrone Moore tweeted about it. Even if people don't get the memo, most will dress in blue or dark colors. Should look pretty good.

Unless the university is handing out blue shirts to the student section it’s not happening
October 28th, 2022 at 7:16 PM ^
Gonna be 42 degrees at 10pm. Nice during the day but not really t-shirt weather.
October 28th, 2022 at 3:29 PM ^
Nothing at all on MGoBlue.com, the official athletics site.
The only thing we have is a video of Sainristil saying “wear blue.” That’s not an announcement of a “blue out.” The football account‘s tweet with the video doesn’t mention wearing blue or a blue out. So the ONLY marketing we have for this “blue out” is Sainristil saying to wear blue and Moore’s retweet.
So I’ll say this again. It’s not going to happen. Ignoring how stubborn our fan base can be with things like this to begin with, it has been so poorly communicated that the message isn’t going to get across anyway.

Jealous that I can’t be there if true. I would think that environment would be beyond electric and one of the sweetest looks. That stadium will look amazing come Saturday. No way MSU pulls off another lucky win with UTL

Would be cool with maize cleats as well.
October 27th, 2022 at 10:09 PM ^
I like the maize accessories a lot with the maize pants. We'll see about the blue pants.
October 27th, 2022 at 10:57 PM ^
I'll do you one better. Maize accessories. Maize pants. Blue jersey.
They should wear this combination for home games, I bet it'll be a big crowd pleaser!
October 27th, 2022 at 10:53 PM ^
Excellent. I love the all blue uniforms.
But more importantly, I don’t ever want to see a maize jersey again. Or white pants. The other 4 combinations are all winners.

All white on the road > all blue anywhere IMO.
October 28th, 2022 at 12:50 AM ^
All white is stupid
October 28th, 2022 at 8:07 AM ^
Agree. I've always liked the white. Classy.
October 28th, 2022 at 5:52 AM ^
Agreed. All maize isn't a good look.
Staee will apparently be in all white... Kind of like a giant white flag waving against an ocean of blue.
October 27th, 2022 at 11:40 PM ^
Honestly, I will accept-without-complaint practically any compromise as long as they aren't doing the maize jerseys.
Also, though I adore the originals and would love Michigan to be an "only originals, always" kinda club, they've worn far worse alternates before than the all-blues. At least they are solid. Further, in ranking uniform pieces, I'd prioritize the jersey as having aesthetic value far superior to the pants. Keep the blue tops, avoid zubaz bottoms, and--basically--I'll take it!!

I thought this was interesting. Tennessee is going "Dark Mode" Saturday night. Looks pretty cool!
October 28th, 2022 at 12:12 AM ^
It would be cool if black was actually one of Tennessee’s colors. Call me old fashioned but I prefer when teams actually wear, you know, their team colors for home games.
I’m sure the kids love it, though.
October 28th, 2022 at 6:11 AM ^
Agree. I think when OSU does it , it looks dumb
October 28th, 2022 at 7:39 AM ^
I really dislike when they mess with iconic helmets. And I think Tennessee squeaks into that category. OSU’s black helmets look super dumb.

My wife likes those uniforms. This year has completed my long project to convert her from her misplaced Alabama fandom to her home state Volunteers.
They are fun to watch, although I suspect someone in the SEC is going to figure them out like Don Brown got figured out.
October 28th, 2022 at 6:39 AM ^
Is this different from what they did for the Maryland game? I think they wore maize socks and a few guys had maize gloves in that game, but most players seemed to stick with the standard white gloves. I guess I'm not sure what other "accessories" there are.
MVictors tracks it: https://mvictors.com/uniform-timeline/

A little theory im keeping an eye on going forward...blue pants = ground mauling. Last year OSU, this year PSU, and you know Jim is gonna wanna shove a game worn sock down Spartys throat. A potential trend to keep an eye on
October 28th, 2022 at 8:56 AM ^
You are saying that the football team changes its colors based upon their offensive strategy? An interesting take.
October 28th, 2022 at 11:36 AM ^
Im saying that for some weird occurrence that they have mauling days on the ground the last 2 times they've worn all blue uniforms. You make of that what you want to
October 28th, 2022 at 8:57 AM ^
I've always thought that if you are going to have everyone in the stadium wear a certain color that you should try and make your uniforms contrast that as much as possible just to stand out. Be interested to hear from anybody that has played in a game like this as a quarterback to hear if that background effect helps or hinders finding receivers down field.
