Former NFL player Tony Siragusa passed away
"Tony Siragusa, the nose tackle who played 12 NFL seasons with Indianapolis and Baltimore from 1990-2001, died Wednesday at the age of 55, the Ravens announced."
RIP Mr Siragusa 🙏
RIP. Always liked him as a kid.
He wasn't bad as an adult either.
RIP Goose
Well played.
RIP Goose. Was great on the field and entertaining on the sidelines.
RIP Goose

The double teams he commanded in Baltimore allowed Ray Lewis to roam freely and murder guys.
Not soon enough? Everybody murders.
He knew it was coming, having lost his father at 48 to a heart attack. He was a damn fine football player and a real gentle giant off the field.
RIP, Goose. I'll put Sinatra on for you.
Died in his sleep; a peaceful way to leave this world. RIP Tony.
One of the better bodyguards I ever had. It was a pleasure to work with him around the Bada Bing and my environmental waste dealings.
RIP Tony.
Little known movie, the only one he appeared in during his acting career, 25th Hour, by Spike Lee. Great performance and great movie.
Logged in to say the same thing. You beat me to it, so you get the upvote.
Posbang back at you.
25th Hour would be my answer to the question: What is the most underwatched, unheralded movie in your lifetime*?
Amazes me how good it was at that moment in history and nobody but me apparently recognized it as being largely ABOUT post-9/11 grief in New York.
* I'm 62 YO.
bad genetics + 300 pounds = unfortunately not a long life span.
RIP.
Hate seeing this happen to football players.
55 is waaaay too young to go regardless of family history! Yet another reminder that life is not given, and value every single day you have on this earth! He was one of those guys that if you never met him, you felt like you knew him and that is truly what life is about!
It gets worse. Raven’s Linebacker Jaylon Ferguson, 26, also passed away. Cause of death not yet known. A lot of young and, apparently, very healthy athletes are passing away as of late. Very odd.

Siragusa was 350 pounds and had bad genetics (father died young from a heart attack).
Ferguson's death is being investigated as a possible drug overdose.
Caleb Swanigan, who also died recently, was reportedly close to 600 pounds at the time of his death and also had bad genetics.
Who are all these young and healthy athletes you're referring to that are dying all over the place?
joined today but already using quotes
I'm curious to see which formerly banned MGoBlogger this turns out to be
His user name washes away any prior sins in my book.
How to do quotes btw?
How to do quotes btw?
The block quote button (which looks like quotation marks).
Pretty common feature in commenting systems--hardly means 42-27 is an old timer here.
(Although they still certainly could be.)
I may or may not have been banned for being overly critical of Braylon Edwards on the day of his nephew's commitment. Wasn't trolling, just honestly dislike the guy. Mods said it wasn't the time or place and I agreed and apologized afterward. I can almost promise you that you don't remember my name. I wasn't that active.
Pepperidge Farms remembers.
He may also be thinking of Dwayne Haskins, but that was also not of natural causes.
RIP Goose
If you have a family history of heart disease, high LDL, low HDL, and/or high triglycerides, and in your 40s and 50s, you should have a cardiologist. It is amazing what a stent or bypass can do to keep you going into your 70s and 80s.

Sad. Sat a couple tables from him a couple years ago at an Italian restaurant here in NJ. Place called Nonna's. He knew where the good spots were. He was very friendly to the staff.
I hope Mark Cuban didn't have anything to do with this, but I'm sure Cuban will make up with his son even if that is the case.
I liked Siragusa on NFL on FOX broadcasts, too.
Not sure why FOX parted ways with him following the 2015 season.
