Who's your player of the year now?

And you can't have one without the other…

17-1, 12-1 Big Ten, first place.

It does feel like Gonzaga and Baylor are being allowed to coast on some early-season successes (which, to UM's credit, they also had) and their more recent performances have just sort of been ignored.  I know Baylor was out for 3 weeks with COVID-19 but their schedule even before that wasn't particularly daunting (their top three wins in conference are against the KenPom 23-25 ranked teams), and Gonzaga has played exactly 2 teams in the top 100 in 2021 (BYU and St. Mary's twice each).  Both of those teams are obviously good but it is sort of annoying that we've anointed both of them untouchables because of what they did 3 months ago.

Outstanding defense all around and Howard's adjustments at halftime (plus just converting on good opportunities) were on display yet again.  This team really should be spoken of as perhaps the best team in the country; they certainly have played like it for most of the year.

Wagner is a damn jedi. He sees things before they happen. His trajectory mimics Larry Bird. He's one step ahead of everyone else on the floor.  Unreal.  He's a top 10 draft pick.  Damn shame UM only had him for 2 years.  Imagine him as a senior.

What a great win.

Go Blue.

PS - Defund Dick Vitale for singing ol' Notre Dame and saying the Victors is the 2nd best fight song during ONE OF OUR GAMES AGAIN.

Difficult to hate on Dickie V with what he does for childhood cancer - but, for F*ck's sake, another Michigan HATER.

This Michigan team seems to be able to adapt and adjust to any situation, any opponent, any style of play, any officiating.  Sometimes they need a half to figure things out, sometimes they blow the opponent away from the tip.  They're never rattled (for long).  They just overcome.  Impressive.

Wonderful win, of course -- amazing! It does help when 2 of Iowa's starters are out for almost all the second half, though. Not only are they not available, but Garza of course has to be gassed by the last ten minutes. We deserve the win, full stop, but not sure the final score is *quite* representative.

I just love how Garza couldn't muscle his way through Dickinson. That was outstanding.

Can't be out-run, can't be out-schemed, can't be out-D'd, can't be out-shot, even won when they were out-officialed! Now they can't be outmuscled!
