Positive Crystal Balls (defense)
Some positive news, though I don’t know how credible the source is. Three new crystal balls came in for UM today. All three are four stars, and they are each on defense: 2 LBs, 1 DT. We already knew that Hood and Colson were UM leans, but Rooks is a newer name.
Go Blue!
Urban Meyer said recruiting against Michigan in Ohio was a "street fight" during the Brady Hoke era and early Jim Harbaugh years.
— Kyle Rowland (@KyleRowland) May 16, 2020
Now? “I don’t feel the street fight at all,” Meyer said. @DBriggsBlade on Michigan's oft-questioned recruiting strategy. https://t.co/sUCkdlgYFp
OSU Side Note: Jack Sawyer is an animal. We need some great tackles to stop that guy. He plays wildcat at DE. F**K
And they're in on even higher ranked DE this year too.
I hate them and everything but it's not hard to see why they're so tough to beat, if you look at it objectively.
Team with tons of talent at every position is hard to beat, I don't think any fan even on here is denying that.
well of course you don't feel it dumbass you're in a TV booth in LA or some other dumb place
You're smiling crack if you don't think he's still recruiting for Ohio state.
I hear Rooks is great at moving forwards, backwards, or sideways for as far as you want him too. But that he has no ability to move diagonally. Don't get me wrong, I would still rather have him over some pawn, especially as he can castle with the King.
So he can play QB? Is this how it works?
This is fantastic content.
His vertical is non-existent too.
Interesting to see how the services are split on these guys. Colson is the only one universally regarded as a 4 star. Hood and Rooks are 3 stars on 247. In fact Michigan's last 11 commitments are all 3 stars on 247's internal rankings. They are really down on UM's class.
Not as down as the odds of your father ever recognizing you as his son.
No you're wrong all three are universally regarded as four stars hence composite ratings. You're wrong. Period. End of story.

of, affecting, or done by all people or things in the world or in a particular group; applicable to all cases.
So given that Rivals and ESPN and 247 all have different rating for these guys you are indeed wrong. The composite is an average of the services. Stop being dumb please.
Gone fishin'
Ok Bryson
I don’t know who this guy is, but this is a shitty comment. You’ve been here long enough to not be a douche. This is a message board. Leave it here.
Lol who is this a shitty comment? Dude has been a toxic Michigan "fan" on Twitter and this blog for years and he's made it obvious based on what he says on both platforms that they are the same person
Oh no Michigan might get a 4 Star commit on defense..what can I complain about!? Fuck it I’ll just post how they aren’t universal 4 stars.
This. 100% this.
When a guy can't crow about recruiting issues he crows about technical recruiting issues.
Can't really complain about the offer sheets... I am sure there is a technical issue on that also.
Pathetic.
I don’t know these particular players well, but in general guys who are not 4 stars on every site are not the best gets. Rather a consensus 4 star. I want a typical Michigan class to look like 2 five stars 15 four stars and 10 three stars. I don’t think that’s too crazy. And most of those three stars should be top 500.
How much longer before the site update that includes a ‘Block’ feature?
Seth has said that is not going to happen.
Well they clearly they do block him, because he keeps coming back with a new user name every few weeks.
Wait - we are talking about Maizen, right?
A positive user experience? On MGoBlog? At this latitude?
In no point in your incoherent rambling did you come close to correctly answering the question. We are all now dumber for having listened to you. May god have mercy on your soul
Demetric Warren made all of the predictions. He is notorious for following the leader on pretty much every prospect.
I sometimes trust him because he seems to have a pretty good relationship with a lot of recruits because he works with the All-American Game and a lot of camps
Warren has a really good record on 2021 recruits, poor overall. Maybe his CBs in this cycle are more meaningful?
I guess it's worth noting that he put in the only Michigan CB so far for Rooks and is only the 2nd for the other three he put in yesterday.
He used to just put his balls anywhere. Perhaps he's becoming more discerning with age.
Meh. I could care less if they are 1* or 5* players. Just beat OSU for once in 30 years.
How is this comment down voted? I know you meant "couldn't care less...", but if people are down voting you because of you wanting to beat OSU more than once every ten years, they're fandom should be checked at the door.
No it is for the utter lack of originality in the post and the tendency for this to be a stock answer - particularly for certain posters - for EVERY topic around M football.
(And No I don’t think I downvoted it.)
Then people need to also downvote the stupid stock posts of counterstirke, Justin feagin, Oakland is in play, etc. They were only moderately funny at first and just became pathetic grabs at clever and funny by people who are obviously not clever and funny.
Ugh, his comment was completely worthless. We all want to beat OSU. That's a given. Those repetitive comments contribute nothing to the threads. How is it even relevant to this one?
yeesh, no one here doesnt want to beat OSU, and no one needs to have "they're" fandom checked.
What a tired comment that users on mgoblog "dont want to beat OSU" because they say something realistic or the opposite of someone else's thoughts. Get real.
That comment got downvoted bc its an unnecessary comment that doesnt have anything to do with the thread and is just posturing to make it sound like they care more and are super cool because of it.
Not only that, but it really doesn't make sense. This like a dad telling his son "I don't care if you study, I just want you to get all A's."
Sure, that's possible without studying but extremely unlikely and if the dad truly cares about his son getting good grades then he should care if he's doing the things necessary to do so.
You should care more— a team full of 1 stars isn't beating Rutgers or Maryland, let alone OSU.
Yeah, unfortunately, we're not going to beat OSU with a roster loaded with 3 star recruits especially after just looking at their 2021 class on the 247 Composite which - if they get the players they're expected to get - could go down as the highest rated class in CFB history. That just flat out sucks - bigtime
Speaking objectively it probably would still be enough to beat Rutgers.
Buckle up

From watching their films, Colson looks really good, Rooks and Hood both look pretty good as well. Hood looks underrated to me, Rooks is probably about where he should be simply looking at his film.
Well, the offer list would seem to agree with you with Colson having the best list of programs. Assuming Hood's Bama offer might be smoke given the level of his other offers.
I've only watched Hoods film but I was impressed. A poor man's Bush. He doesn't have the same speed but has that heat seeking missle ability. Would probably be my favorite LB recruit since Mcgrone.
A poor man's bush
Why we gotta take a poor man's bush?
Sometimes i like when my wife ... uh ... nvm.
A poor man's bush with a heat seeking misille ability? I'm aroused!
