Didn’t you know players must be seniors before they can be trusted to play?
October 12th, 2019 at 11:08 PM ^
LSU's offense is everything I want Michigan's to be.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:09 PM ^
PSU will be able to run out the clock. Oh well
October 12th, 2019 at 11:10 PM ^
franklin 0-11 vs. ranked teams on the road. until tonight. and it was just by the hair of his chiny-chin-chin. we might not be great and i don't look forward to next saturday night in happy molester valley, but they aren't the world beaters that some might think.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:11 PM ^
We make fun of Franklin around here, but dude gets his squad to play well in big games. Anytime you can win a Night game on road against top 25 squad you’re doing something right. Can’t say we have won one of those in a long time.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:12 PM ^
He's like 3-13 against Michigan, OSU and MSU. He's just resistant to Kinnick's voodoo for some reason.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:14 PM ^
Michigan's defense will play well next week. But I don't trust the offense as far as I could throw Cesar Ruiz. Patterson can't read a zone. Hell, he can't read a high-low call...
October 12th, 2019 at 11:31 PM ^
Dcaff could win it. But it sounds like Jim is all-in on Shea.
"He throws a real tight spiral"... wth? Were we watching the same balls? My 12 year old girl throws less ducks.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:14 PM ^
The win moves him to 1-6 against top 25 teams on the road in his time at PSU. Does that stat fit your narrative?
October 12th, 2019 at 11:17 PM ^
So slightly better than Harbaugh?
October 12th, 2019 at 11:21 PM ^
Probably the least talented PSU team in the 2016-2019 era (although the talent still isn't bad). And I can't see any way they win in Columbus.
But to my eyes they seem tougher than any PSU team (and less resistant to folding in tough times) in Franklin's 6 years there. That's worth something, I think. They may get to a 10-2 record just on that.
U-M @ PSU will be a tough, every possession counts, well-played type of B1G game, I expect. Honestly, the U-M/PSU series hasn't had a game like that since ..... ??? 2007??? No, 2014 doesn't count, close but definitely not well-played. :-)
October 12th, 2019 at 11:21 PM ^
Yeah because Iowa has that powerful offense with the 'NFL' QB.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:16 PM ^
Watching the ease of both Florida and LSU offenses convinces me that Gattis is failing at teaching his offense, Harbaugh is of no help, and Patterson has a noodle arm.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:19 PM ^
It’s amazing how much more fluid most of these other teams are on offense. Makes Michigan look like they’re stuck in mud.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:37 AM ^
Yeah but our fumbles look way cooler than their not fumbles
October 12th, 2019 at 11:19 PM ^
Gattis should have been let go already.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:22 PM ^
Go play in traffic!
October 12th, 2019 at 11:22 PM ^
Please notice the fluid decision making by the QB's and the better throws.
Our offense plays are fine I truly feel it begins with the QB making the right reads and throws which he is NOT doing. That is the common thread with our offense right now. Our O line could certainly do better on run blocking but the pass protection and WR play is there.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:37 PM ^
It's not just decision making (or lack thereof), it's also the throws. Patterson is always close, but he's never leading a WR and hitting one in stride is rare. They always have to turn their bodies, slow down, spin around, or otherwise adjust somehow. The deep throws are always late arriving, which allows the DB to catch up and stop the play where its caught.
Patterson is hot crap this year.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:45 PM ^
They always have to turn their bodies, slow down, spin around, or otherwise adjust somehow.
The thing I've noticed is that the WRs dive more than a Dutch soccer forward. They're constantly leaving their feet, trying to make circus catches and something a half-notch below that. It seems like a complete disconnect between Patterson's performance this year and his reputation. I guess that's consistent with the injury theory, but he really shouldn't be out there if that's the case.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:41 PM ^
This ^^^!!!
Not only isn’t Patterson making the correct reads in both the running and the passing game, his arm is weak and inaccurate. Gattis called some great plays to get WR’s open and Shea just can’t make the throws. The 4th down stop was 100% a misread by Shea. Another good call that failed due to a bad read.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:14 AM ^
Gattis hasn’t been perfect, but he’s schemed up a lot of good plays. The execution is the problem, not the scheme. Now that nothing is working, they’re trying a bunch of even worse shit (pass to mason) but of the team could execute, gattis’ offense would rock these shit teams.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:18 PM ^
Destroy the Creepy Paternos next Saturday night!!!!!
October 12th, 2019 at 11:18 PM ^
LSU has defensive problems. I don't think they're going to beat Alabama.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:21 PM ^
Great read on that route, but it's coming back.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:23 PM ^
So now you can't hit the QB in the butt?
October 12th, 2019 at 11:24 PM ^
Officiating is weird, man.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:25 PM ^
I think LSU could put up 70 points against us. Did you see all those crossing routes. They would crush us.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:27 PM ^
Wow. The YPP differential in the LSU-FL game. LSU more than double. How are they only up 2 scores?
October 12th, 2019 at 11:30 PM ^
If 2 SEC teams make the playoff, it'll be Bama and LSU. No doubt.
How sweet would it be to see Oklahoma beat Bama and LSU beat OSU in the semis. QB transfer karma.
I don't think we'll get to play Ol' Miss.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:34 PM ^
I’d sign up for that playoff.
Burrow was 21/24 293 yards 3 tds against that Florida defense. I think LSU has the offense to hang with and beat Alabama.

Think marking every 5 yards on the field is silly. Should be like mlb stadiums where you can express yourself. I would like a minimalist design with only the 17 yard line marked. And maybe use Roman numerals or base 17 numbers.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:42 PM ^
Keep drinking, buddy!
October 12th, 2019 at 11:35 PM ^
Meanwhile Coach O racks up a 7th win vs a top ten opponent. Sigh.
October 12th, 2019 at 11:42 PM ^
Hey, you're not supposed to be discontented with Coach Harbaugh. You're supposed to say, "It's all there for us yet!"
Michigan's a tightly welded together unit! Wins against Top 10 team. Pffft! Who needs em!
We need Milton at QB! sarc/
October 12th, 2019 at 11:43 PM ^
If DCaff isn't ready to go, I'd be happy to see Milton. Patterson is done - we know what he's going to do next week.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:16 AM ^
Milton sucks bad. Shea sucks too, but he’s not an interception machine.
October 13th, 2019 at 12:44 AM ^
You’re sad

Oh the overrated SEC? What championships has he won?
