NFL Playoffs - Pickin' and Grinnin' - Who Do You Got?
Mates,
Though college football is over (all star games don't count), for many there is at least some interest in the remaining NFL playoff games. You've got 4 games this weekend again, 2 today and 2 tomorrow. Note the Home team is favored in all 4 games by the points I have noted for each:
Saturday
4:30 Colts @ Chiefs, 5 pt favorites
8:15 Dallas @ L. A. Rams, 7 pts
Sunday
1:30 Chargers @ NE Brady's 4 pts
4:40 Eagles @ New Orleans 8 pts
I have admittedly watched very little pro football this year. I could see the Cowboys upsetting the Rams, but other than that the favorites look fairly solid. Kind of want a NE v. NO super bowl, but who knows.
So the question is, Who do you got? Pick them with the points.
Have a great weekend.

Colts, Cowboys, NE, NO
January 12th, 2019 at 8:59 AM ^
i do think that colts v chiefs game might be the game of the weekend.
January 12th, 2019 at 9:51 AM ^
Agree
January 12th, 2019 at 10:05 AM ^
I like the colts with those points.
January 12th, 2019 at 12:02 PM ^
Colts, Rams, Pats, Saints
January 12th, 2019 at 9:09 AM ^
Colts & Rams today
Chargers & Saints tomorrow
Would bet a two team money line parley with Colts & Chargers as i think both will win straight up and that would pay nicely.
January 12th, 2019 at 9:16 AM ^
January 12th, 2019 at 9:17 AM ^
Colts Rams Pats Eagles
I like the Colts to win it all but Rams are right there too
January 12th, 2019 at 9:19 AM ^
Chiefs, Rams (Dallas beats spread), Chargers, NO (Eagles beat spread)
January 12th, 2019 at 9:23 AM ^
For today:
Colts / Rams
The Colts almost seem like the safe pick in a weird way, largely because of Andy Reid. The Rams, IMHO, can outlast Dallas.
For tomorrow:
Chargers / Saints
I just don't think the Patriots are what they once were, even though Foxborough is an intimidating place. The Eagles, I feel, are just not going to walk into New Orleans and win that one.

January 12th, 2019 at 9:37 AM ^
NE covers easily. Rams cover.
I’ll take Colts and Eagles to beat the spread.
I am very confident in NE covering.
January 12th, 2019 at 9:41 AM ^
NE hasn't had the kind of dominating season they usually enjoy. not that they're no good, but i guess i perceive a bigger chance of failure whereas usually they are a virtual lock to get to the SB.
January 12th, 2019 at 9:45 AM ^
The problem with the Pats is that they don’t pass the eye test, and haven’t all hear... but we all know that like LeBron, they play differently in the post season.
January 12th, 2019 at 10:41 AM ^
NE aside. The Chargers will never come across the country, play an early afternoon game, in the cold against a BB coached team and have any chance. NE had an extra week to prepare. The Chargers coaching is bad. They have talent everywhere and nearly choked away a game to a Baltimore team that had no business being in the game. I would bet the farm on this one.
January 12th, 2019 at 10:57 AM ^
The chargers have a better record against the spread and in general on the road. They just beat the chiefs and ravens on the road, please back this up with facts
January 12th, 2019 at 11:28 AM ^
The Chargers coaching staff was universally praised for there defensive game plan against the Ravens. Clear Patriots bias in that comment.
January 12th, 2019 at 11:49 AM ^
The Chargers flew cross country last week, to Baltimore in the winter at 1 pm and shut down the Ravens offense and moved the ball against a good defense. Patriots aren’t as good defensively, and better offensively. Don’t sleep on the Chargers...
January 12th, 2019 at 12:10 PM ^
Chargers are 9-0 in away games this year, surprisingly enough
January 12th, 2019 at 12:31 PM ^
Your farm or XM's farm?
January 12th, 2019 at 9:40 AM ^
Colts, rams, chargers, saints
these are all good matchups
January 12th, 2019 at 9:43 AM ^
Am I crazy to like all the under dogs except the eagles?
Cowboys will take away play action, and Zeke is playing at too high of a level.
Colts offensive line is dominant and they are built for snow more than the chiefs are.
Patriots don’t look right, and the chargers are undefeated on the road this year. However, I wouldn’t be surprised to see some Tom Brady magic.
The Saints are going to drop an absolute whooping on the Eagles.
January 12th, 2019 at 9:43 AM ^
Colts, Rams, Patriots, and Saints.
And nobody better think they can bank on any of my picks. I seldom sit and watch an entire televised NFL game, including any full games involving these 8 playoff teams this season (though I did go to Ford Field and see the Rams beat the Lions this season. ).
January 12th, 2019 at 9:53 AM ^
We got anywhere from 4-8 inches of snow in KC last night. News has shown tailgaters already at the stadium. Chance of another inch or so throughout the day. Haven’t won a home playoff game in years. Really hoping the Chiefs pull it out. It is going to be insane around here regardless.

Have the Colts +5.5. Chik Fil A meal if I win.
January 12th, 2019 at 12:11 PM ^
The things I'd do for Chick-fil-A at the moment...
January 12th, 2019 at 9:55 AM ^
Dallas and Chiefs today . I think the Pats and Saints tomorrow.
January 12th, 2019 at 10:09 AM ^
I’m rooting for an AFC championship game featuring the Colts at the Chargers. I want the national audience to be exposed to the farce that is the Chargers playing in a ~35k seat soccer stadium. Also, my son’s rock band played a few songs during a Charger pre-game earlier this year. He got to meet some of their cheerleaders and pose with them for some photos. I know if that happened to me when I was 14, I never would have recovered from that.
January 12th, 2019 at 10:24 AM ^
pics or it didn't happen.
and how were they able to get past the earthquake torn, traffic-laden, gangster shooting roads to get to that little stadium?
January 12th, 2019 at 10:19 AM ^
Few teams choke as reliably in the playoffs as the Chiefs. I made a good chunk of money off their playoff loss to the Titans last year.
January 12th, 2019 at 10:35 AM ^
Kansas City -5 over Indy 31-24
Dallas +7.5 over LA 23-27
LA Chargers +4 over NE 23-17
New orleans -8 over philly 35-17
January 12th, 2019 at 10:38 AM ^
Colts
Rams
Pats
Saints
Rooting for NE to win another Superbowl, just to listen to Stiller's fans lose their minds.... Yinz know what i mean.

Is that your mom in the avatar?
January 12th, 2019 at 10:52 AM ^
Colts and the under teaser
rams cover 7
chargers cover I got it at 4.5
new Orleans covers 8 and blows out the eagles
i believe the chargers and colts just flat out win. This is the start of the end of a patriots era. Weather effects the colts cheifs game. I am a patriots Brady fan but am also sick of seeing them in the Super Bowl
January 12th, 2019 at 11:16 AM ^
Generally speaking, I never bet on a team that has lost to the Lions, so I'll go with LAC to win outright, the Rams to Cover, and Eagles ATS.
Colts-Chiefs is a total toss-up, because I think Indy can shorten the game considersbly, and Andy Reid can be his own worst enemy with limited possessions.
That being said, KC vs the Rams was the best game all year, and I fully expect a repeat in Atlanta for my birthday.
January 12th, 2019 at 11:21 AM ^
Colts to win. Dallas, NE and Philly against the spread. NO wins.
January 12th, 2019 at 11:26 AM ^
With the points: Colts, Cowboys, Chargers, Eagles
Straight up: Chiefs, Rams, Chargers, Eagles
January 12th, 2019 at 11:30 AM ^
Chiefs defense is trash. DL has 2 good ends, but Colts Oline is superior. Secondary is god awful. Andy Reid will make at least one time management gaffe. 1st time playoff starters generally dont fare well, with the exception of Andrew Luck (coincidentally). Colts cover, might even get on the moneyline with them for the outright win. Also, over 56
Rams havent looked good for a long time. Ever since Cooper Cupp went down, the offense has slowed significantly. How healthy is Gurley's knee? Meanwhile, Cowboys offense firing on all cylinders. The defense is playing out of its head the past 6 weeks. The over/under on this game is around 49 (depending), and I think the first team to 27 wins. 7 points is too many. Im taking the Cowboys to cover, but lose 27-23
West coast team playing early Sunday in cold weather. Normally, a death sentence. Plus, Brady and Bellichik are 19-3 at home in the playoffs. BUT this NE team isnt very good. Horribly disciplined, lots of self inflicted wounds, and Brady doesnt have a reliable 3rd down security blanket. Furthermore, Brady struggles most when facing an exceptional pass rush and the Chargersmight have the best edge rush duo in the NFL. The signs say to pick SD, but because its Brady and Bellichik, I gotta see it before I believe it. Im staying away from this game, but for the sake of this exercise where Im not putting money down, Id take the Chargers +4
Did Nick Foles suitcase his horseshoe before leaving Philly? I think this is where the Eagles run ends, and I think NO has the best three players between both teams (Brees, Thomas and Kamara). The only thing that worries me is EVERYONE is on New Orleans, and the contrarian in me says this would then be the game to go against script, and have everyone saying "thats how they can afford to keep building those giant hotels in Vegas". On the other hand, this could be a close game all the way, then Foles' luck runs out while on a last minute drive (down 2 trying to get the FG to win) and throws a pick 6 and then theres your 8 for the push. I may be blinded by my own bias here (I had NO +1500 to win the SB in Sept), but Im talking the Saints
January 12th, 2019 at 11:48 AM ^
para #3, did you mean 'horribly undisciplined'?
January 12th, 2019 at 12:20 PM ^
Oddly, I think the modifier "horribly" makes the "un" unnecessary. If I see children who are horribly disciplined, they're usually horribly undisciplined as well.
January 12th, 2019 at 11:32 AM ^
The gods do not shine fondly on KC. The weather there looks brutal, but I hope Reid can somehow pull out the win...
Chiefs, Rams, Saints, and Pats would make for an epic Championship weekend...I’m not seeing a single road victory this weekend...
January 12th, 2019 at 11:35 AM ^
I have the chiefs rams chargers and saints this weekend.
January 12th, 2019 at 11:55 AM ^
With the spread
Indy
LA
NE
Philly
January 12th, 2019 at 12:04 PM ^
Chiefs- they get Sammy Watkins back and I think that adds another dimension to the offense.
Rams - If Gurley is healthy(and they give him the ball) LA should pull out a close one. Think Donald has a good game as well.
Chargers - Love Brady, but the Pats have looked off all year and the lack of talent around Tom is being highlighted now. Plus I think the Chargers might have the best roster in the AFC.
Saints -I think the Foles magic runs out on Sunday.
January 12th, 2019 at 12:08 PM ^
Going with the older QB, Colts, NE and New Orleans. Rams d line shuts down Eliot, Rams.
January 12th, 2019 at 12:16 PM ^
Lions to win it all.
Never.
January 12th, 2019 at 12:22 PM ^
Patriots vs. Saints in Superbowl.
January 12th, 2019 at 12:27 PM ^
Gotta go with all the home teams to cover. Quite a few people have high hopes for the Cowboys, I just don't see it and think they get beat easily. I also think the NE Bradys win by double digits. Really hope the Colts beat the Chiefs but gut tells me Chiefs finally get the elusive home win.
