Alabama is a really talented team, but they seem to get zero penalties. Face mask? No problem. Defensive PI? Ok.

Their DL looks great.

NW needs a stop here to force a FG. It looks like ND can run the clock nearly out if they pick up a 1st down.

Yeah they look like plays we could easily run with our personnel.  Just a better mix of throwing on early downs instead of just obvious passing downs.  It then opens up the running game.  You can't just crash your linebackers into the line every play.

We're in if we win out, I want ND to lose too, so we aren't the 4th seed. It'll be more fun for us to expose Clemson as the first actual defense they've played all year.

ABC clearly has the more exciting game. LSU has now been (predictably) eliminated from the playoff.

Tua don't look that great to me. Alabama is pass happy and that's not a winning formula against our defense

Watching Orgeron clap through LSU getting throttled...

He really is the Cajun Brady Hoke isn't he?

Big 12 football is just weird.  They resolutely refuse to cover people, and tackling is optional.  Really frustrating to watch.

That said, the end of the WV-Texas game was BadAss.

That's because Big 12 are full of innovative offensive minded coaches with Air Raid, Baylor offense, etc.

See Oklahoma put up 48 points against a vaunted UGA defense last year. Do you think Big 12 doesn't play defense? UGA defense finished 4th in FEI and 11th in S&P. Oklahoma scored on them like it was nothing because their scheme is great and have talented players on offense including the #1 overall pick, Baker Mayfield.

I figured LSU's offense wasn't all that, but I'm not sure if their offense is this bad, or if Bama's defense is this good.  I think a little of both, shaded towards Bama's D.  In either case, I still wonder what Bama would do in a 4 quarter dogfight against a real defense that has an actual offense behind it.

Unfortunately, I'm not sure that Michigan's janky pass game and dull play calling is ready, yet.  Can't run into a box against these guys...

I don't know if that missed FG is funny, or sad.  Not sure if I should feel sorry for LSU getting drubbed at home, or LMAO at it...

I'm so confused!

If you are on of those people who believe a 1 loss Michigan isn’t a shoe in for the playoff today was a pretty mediocre day. Wvu bearing Texas gives Oklahoma a top 10 win and Iowa and nw losing means Michigan would be playing a potentially 7-5 team in the championship game so no chance to impress in that game

OTOH LSU is finished, the “strong” non-elite SEC teams mostly faceplanted, Oklahoma looks offensively strong and defensively embarrassing against TT, and the PAC 12 continues to embrace mediocrity.

Danielson’s ridiculous “Alabama is just playing for seeding in the SEC Championship” comment aside, Michigan’s doing fine. Especially since the committee seems focused on wins over teams with winning records and Michigan is in good shape there.
