He has the potential to be really good next year. Random internet practice hype is usually just that. I like the chance he has to be special after another year of hard work in the off season.

Let's count this as the first story of 2014.
I'm feeling a great year is ahead of us!

I hated that the link was the Free Press and Mark Snyder too. I thought my summary told the majority of the story for those who don't want to give them clicks.

Baumgardner has a story on Clark on MLive.
"I want to just be a stronger, way stronger, player," Clark said. "I want to be stronger and I even want to get faster. You've got a lot of people saying I'm fast here and there, but I want to get faster -- faster, quicker, stronger."

I'm home for the holidays and my dad is reading out loud:
"Frank Clark Will Return for Senior Season." Looks over at me with an ugly face "Where the Fck was he going?"
And that about sums up your 2013 Michigan Wolverines
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

Will drive Frank Clark to a season of excellence. He doesn't have to be Reggie White, but it wouldn't hurt his or Michigan's chances if he tried.

Yes, Black is a senior. We are going to miss him despite being somewhat of a 'tweener.

I hope it's solid but at least this year when either Gordon or Wilson were out the quality of the safety play took a pretty big drop.

Expecting big things from Clark next year. Some positivity!
Also, good for Clark and getting his evaluation so he knows what he needs to work on.

Needs to play more aggressive the whole D line plays timid as well as the LB Corp

This is great to hear really - from a statistical standpoint anyway, Frank has gotten more productive each year and has looked better each year, in my opinion. Indeed, this year, I believe he was the team leader in sacks as well as tackles for loss, as well as tied for 5th in total tackles. That's really not bad at all, and if the trend is upward, I am excited to see what 2014 Clark looks like.

...and this doesn't count Pipkins or Henry.
We lose Q, Black and Gordon....but we gain Pipkins and a bunch of RS Fr.

We really missed Pipkens that game. Would have been nice to have both him and Washington on hand to counter the beef that is Hyde.
Get well soon and hope to see more healthy Hoke impressions.

I was curious about that myself, and it appears from this article that all a player receives is an indication of where he is likely to be drafted (or not drafted at all).
Also here's an indication of the number of players who sought an evaluation:
As of Thursday, 201 underclassmen have submitted their names to be evaluated by the NFL draft advisory committee. It was about 180 in '12.

He fits the profile of a player who could make a big jump in his senior season - here's hoping so. Shown flashes, needs consistency. Let's see if he can turn it up a few notches in the bowl game.

Still, it never hurts to ask for an evaluation and find out what you need to work on. Hopefully it will serve as motivation for him heading into next year.

I love Frank Clark, but I can only imagine the NFL advice was "don't take half the year to start learning how to keep containment."

Can anyone break down why Clark didn't take the much-hyped Leap this year? I didn't really focus on him enough to understand why he wasn't more of a difference maker. He seems to have all the physical tools. You'd think Mattison could've gotten more out of him.
