Well I guess it was just a little too much to ask for a UNC upset.

Kill gets props for beig such a great coach, but right now ,the way MInny is playing shows none of that.

The Tar Heels defensive line comes crashing into the one spot where no one is, allowing Mike Davis to take off on a 75-yard TD run. After the PAT, it's 27-10 South Carolina.

Nice work UNC.
Not.

ESPN announcer just now: "Clowney is the most talented guy in the country."

The dude is a physical marvel who's capable of destorying worlds. He's having an off night and maybe he's loafing it a bit tonight, but he's still the player probably with the most raw talent of anyone in college football
August 29th, 2013 at 8:45 PM ^
All true, however IMO the "most talented" player in the country, raw or not, doesn't loaf and/or show what looks to be piss poor conditioning. Part of talent in my book is channeling it.

Interesting stat here, despite the 27-10 South Carolina lead...
South Carolina's offensive yards in the first quarter - 203. Only 169 yards since then.
North Carolina's offensive yards in the first quarter - 35. They've gained 198 yards since that point.

Never have I ever seen a missed extra point under no pressure by a college kicker. THat was impressive.

Little shoulder bump by a teammate as Clowney comes off the field grabbing his hamstring

Hopefully Minnesota has a slightly better showing in the second half.

I guess I'll catch a little bit of Browns-Bears because I enjoy pain.
August 29th, 2013 at 8:46 PM ^
It's as bad as I imagined. All of the delay of game penalties!
August 29th, 2013 at 8:42 PM ^
It's been said by others, but Clowney looks pretty winded for an early-season game against a mediocre squad. I'm sure he'll be fine this year, but perhaps the hype got into his ear a bit.
August 29th, 2013 at 8:42 PM ^
LOL, this is pathetic. Every time I see a halftime show, someone is breaking down Clowney. This season is going to be ridiculous from analysts' standpoints. It's going to be Tebow-esque. Every play they're going to break down every step that Clowney took. Ugh.

Damn. Does ESPN now hold off on the Vandy game? Seems you shouldn't hold off a late kickoff during a Thursday night game.

I'm pretty sure no. He might get credit for a 1/2 sack. But only a handful of tackles.
