Friday night drinking thread
Surprised no one started one yet. Whadda you got? Since I'm stationed in Texas I'm working on trying as many Texas brews as I can. This week's selection is the Real Ale variety pack out of Blanco Texas. The Brown was great, the pale was less than stellar, and I haven't got to the other one yet. Cheers!, and happy Memorial Day.
Update: not sure I can trust my palate at this point, but the rye ale is pretty tasty.
My own special recipe: 2 parts Magellans gin, 1 part St Germaine, splash ginger ale. I know, a green drink on MGoBlog... But please realize Magellans is a beautiful blue due to iris flowers and St Germaine is an essentially maize elderflower liqueur. The green is just an unfortunate result of physics.
Yesterday there was a festivity in my town, so today everyone is hungover... anyways, just drinking corona at a local bar, oh and yeah, I brought the laptop so I can check mgoblog.
Drinking a Huma Lupa Licious and rewatching Arrested Development.
Drank a couple of Founders All Day IPA's tonight; if Sanchez had gotten that no hitter for the Tigers, I was going to tap into one of my 3 remaining Founders KBS that I've stored away for special occasions.
Alas, it's still stored away...
Gotta enjoy it while it is in season!
I'm drunk on Fast and Furious 6. Fantastic movie if you're into the series. Even if you're not it's still pretty good!
Good ol' Wichita Falls. However, we are heading to Turkey in two months. Other than having to watch most games on my computer, we can't wait.
The duck hunting was awesome this year ana alll the bike riding around here is pretty sweet, still, it's not as good as where I spent the last five years... Patrick
Glass of Buffalo Trace before my wedding tomorrow.
