I like Gardner's tackle of Butt!
Too bad they don't show a thermometer. I was freezing my ass off out there. Couldn't stay out for the lacrosse game because the girlfriend was freezing about ten times as worse than me. Poor thing.
What an amatuer though. I sat through Michigan-northwestern 2006. I can handle anything. But once she mentioned going to Pizza House for dinner, I couldn't resist.

It was M-NW 2008.
I would have rather been freezing at the game than in my warm living space 800 miles away.
beat me to it
I wasn't at 2008. I was at 2006 and oh lord was it dreaful. 75% of the crowd left at halftime, and Lloyd was pissed about it the next day as he was quoted in the paper the next day about the students and mostly everyone bailing.
It wasn't snowing like 2008. It was ice cold with actual, downpouring rain. Indicated by 17-3 score. Michigan forced something like 4 consecutive fumbles on NW drives.
Maybe you weren't at Michigan-Northwestern 2006, but that one was pretty miserable too.
2008 Northwestern was worse... at least we won in 2006.
Thanks for posting. My heart stopped for a second after Jake Butt scored. No more injuries.
Arm? Leg? Dead?
Did he get hurt or something? I watched the live stream, and after Butt's TD, he was walking around looking fine.
I thought maybe the softball people were downvoting all football-related threads.
damn tiny phones with their tiny buttons.
That was a bad read by Hayes on the safety. The hole was back up the middle. He might have still got planted, but he had a better chance getting downhill than trying to bounce it.
Have I mentioned I love Coach Hoke?
He has his players' backs ... never talks 'em down ... and these kids will walk through walls for Hoke and the other coaches.

Walk? Mattison wouldn't allow that kind of weak effort. They'll be runnning through walls at full speed and nothing less.
Sorry, not in front of a TV or else I wouldn't have asked.
Yes, 9 p.m. on BTN.

...but how is this trolling?
Thanks for answering my question Magnus.

Some people don't like me, so they go through and downvote my posts, regardless of what I say.

Well thanks again for the info...I'm behind, but watching the game now.
For the record, I'd upvote you, but I don't have the power.

Both the first one at 1pm and just now in the "remix" thread.
All in all, the team played well, no major injuries and we're looking pretty good moving into the summer. The freshman and Bellomy and Ryan's recoveries seem like they're the biggest keys.
I say Bellomy, but I can't imagine Shane would be worse than he was last year. Cleary and Swieca both looked better.
Hoke seemed much happier and more positive than he typically is in general during pressers. I don't know if that's just because it's spring and not in the middle of a season full of stress, but it just sorta seems like he knows something we don't yet and he's happy about it.
I'm guessing it's the fact that our offense was much better during this spring game than the last two spring games and we don't have Green, Deveon Smith, and Fitz yet.

Couple of thoughts from a guy who doesn't really know a lot. Drake Johnson looks like a legit starter, tough guy to bring down. Hayes seems bad at blocking at this point or maybe it was just the one block. He certainly doesn't look like Vince out there. James Ross is a man, possibly THE man.

Hayes has always been a poor blocker.
Yeah, Hayes looked the worst of the four RBs, and there are an additional three guys who are going to fight for carries come September.
I would love to see some shotgun packages with Norfleet and Green/Smith lined up either side of Gardner. Play action to Green/Smith with Norfleet going on a wheel route or underneath route could be a huge play. He's lethal in space.
In contrast to Hayes, I noticed Johnson upended the bejesus out of a blitzer on one play no problem.

I think that's Angelique asking the questions and Hoke gives her nothing, funny exchange.
Are we really looking at a JuCo though? For this year? Any names?
I'm pretty sure the only viable option would be bringing in a grad student. From my understanding, JUCO credits rarely transfer to Michigan.
At 1:24, is that Strobel in at DT? It looks like the front was Wormley-Ash-Strobel-Charlton.
