Live stream for today's game?
I'm sure I won't be the only one stuck at work when this one tips, so does anyone have a link for a live stream of the game?

Both are blocked by work security. Any other suggestions?

As they should be. Those sites are full of malware.
March 14th, 2013 at 10:49 AM ^
They're also full of free streams for people who have adblock.

Hide in the bathroom with your phone for two hours?

Wish I could upvote this!

My suggestion is keep working instead of streaming illegally. Obviously your company doesn't want you to stream. Here is a novel idea...RECORD the game with your DVR. It's pretty simple.

Here it is:

Just open up VLC player > Media > Open Network Stream > Paste > Voila!
The stream is actually extremely good quality (Not HD, but not crappy internet stream either). This is also a 24/7 stream, so its around the clock working

Rock and Roll.
Thank you.
Does this work on Mac? I clicked the link, which gave me a download that opened in itunes...and...nothing. Please help a non-tech fella
Rather than clicking the link, "right click" on it and copy the link address, and then follow the instructions above to paste it in to the 'Open Network Stream' box on VLC.
If you don't have VLC player already on your Mac, you can download it here.
Excellent. Thanks!
I actually shook off the dumb just before you posted this and realized that I had to download the VLC player first. For some reason, it took a few tries of pasting the link before it worked, but it's working now. Very happy.
Note to anyone meeting with me this afternoon - I'm totally paying attention to you.
That is amazing! Is this a one-time only link or will it work tomorrow/next week/football season?
Probably not but you can try it.
It will work all the time...it's suppose to be a 24/7 link. Hopefully whoever is hosting it never gets caught by the gov't lol
Thanks, this worked. How do you find these URLs for other games?
Thanks! Worked like a charm.

2nd half tips off right as I leave the office. Game will end right after I get home.

Technically, there is not tipoff in the second half, but I get your point. I may sneak out to a sports bar this afternoon...

LOL, I thought of that after I posted. I went to change but "2nd half inbound" sounded weird. Even know it's correct.

But I also really like rojadirecta.me
Pros: It gives you the stream's bitrate, language and format (including the BTN stream posted ^)
Cons: Most streams are not in english, you quickly discover how many different kinds of spam/ads there are out there.

I just wish I at least had a radio on my desk. I leave right work at 4:30, so maybe I can catch the last minute in my car.

BTN2Go
March 14th, 2013 at 10:44 AM ^
As a legit site, most networks don't block it (unless you work for the devil and your network blocks all sports). BTN2Go seems to have a decent amount of listed providers.
For some reason, Comcast (Xfinity...yeah, we still know you're the same, shitty Comcast) is not a listed provider. Aren't they the biggest cable company in the state??? Hey BTN, lean on those bitches.
You can get the live stream for BTN from comcast, though. http://xfinitytv.comcast.net/live/network/big10network
An Xfinity login...

If you have UM system access and are looking for a "legal" stream/safer site, you can access it here: http://iptv.umnet.umich.edu/
This is what I will be watching during work on campus today.

Damnit, it wants me to install Silverlight and U-M in all its wisdom doesn't give me access to install anything on my machine. SIGH
March 14th, 2013 at 10:36 AM ^
shall be no need to stream this game. Just look at the final score and let out an evil laugh.
Now Tommorow on the other hand, take a half day and get your ass to a TV.
March 14th, 2013 at 10:36 AM ^
Hopefully the meeting doesn't go long.
March 14th, 2013 at 10:41 AM ^
I had a meeting moved from 1-2 to 3:30 - 4:30. Ergo, I can't even follow the 2nd half from my desk!
On the plus side, if we win today, I will be taking off early tomorrow to make it home in time for the game.

Someone will post they're btn link closer to game time, or any direct link. I dont see getting out of work early...
as someone else posted above:
-
Copy this link:
http://bigtenmb247.cdnak.bigtenhd.neulion.com/mobile/data/btn2go/btnetw… - past (control V) into VLC Player.
- Click Play (wait about ten seconds, then it will start).
- Magic Denard Smiles
It's that easy.

When I try I just get a stream of "VLC is unable to open the MRL" errors. Last week I could use the VLC link. oh well.

March 14th, 2013 at 11:43 AM ^
It hadn't occured to me to live stream the game. So...my day just turned awesome.
Thanks!

Why does this happen every week? It always happens for football games, but sometimes for basketball games.
First Row Sports for the love of freaking god.
if you buy a slingbox, wou can control your remote for your tv from the web and watch whatever you want
works for me, but I am home now
Everything is blocked on my work computer. Even the VLC workaround :(
October 17th, 2015 at 3:44 PM ^
But have you tried the "google translate" workaround. I was able to use that to bypass the security on my work computer.
Open up the actual google translate page, put the stream link in to one side, it will then translate it the exact same on the other side but add a hyperlink. Click it and in some security systems the "www.translate.google...." might be enough to fool the system.
Okay, now it is telling me I need to download Adobe HD? I feel like an old person trying to work a cell phone.... FML
