Edit: The Indiana Goes Down @ Home to Ohio State...We Have a Chance...Beat Purdue Thread
Big potential looms large tonight (for those of you on the Moon, the potential is that we still have a shot at a Big Ten Title if Indiana loses tonight and we beat them Sunday, AFTER beatin Purdue tomorrow night). We essentially become big Ohio State fans for the second year in a row. They can pull it off, but will they? Tune in at 9:00 on the Big Ten Network brought to you by Rotel and "I've got your 6", and find out. EDIT: Ignore that garbage, it's on ESPN. Sowwy.
Iowa has Illinois at home, as we speak. This would have been a huge game for Iowa if they hadn't lost to Nebraska last week. Now it's merely, meh-big. Doug Gotlieb (spelling?) now on CBS Sports, has Iowa as a Last Four In; he's the only one (except for possbily me, if they can win two BTT games).
Duke at Virginia Tech, as we speak.
Arkansas at Mizzou, as we speak (if anyone is interested in Arkansas). Arkansas is a Bubble Team to many analysts. This would be a big Win for them.
Ugh. Go Buckeyes.
pisses me off the most is losing to PSU hurts so much now because we coulda won it outright if we win out, ugh!
PLAYIN FOR THE BIG TEN TITLE!
Edit: Oops, I'm looking ahead. Forgot about that whole Purdue game. Don't look ahead!
Someone from the league is getting a 1 seed. But it might be the winner of the Big Ten tournament
Beat Purdue. Thank you Ohio St.
SI! SI! SI!
Where's ijohnb at?!!??
I know they don't owe us anything, but I'm praying Burke and Co. take care of business tomorrow. Life doesn't normally just hand you second chances like this.
Please let Ohio lose to Illinois, Wisconsin beat msu, and Michigan win out!!!!
we were back in the Big Ten race too. Let's do something with this chance please.....please... ?
All the teams tied with us are going to be cheering for us the rest of the week. Except maybe Sparty - if they lose to Wisconsin they'll probably be the biggest haters of all.
If Sparty beats Wisc and there are 4 teams at 13-5, who is the #1 Seed?
Indiana would be first, as they'd have a 4-2 record among the tied teams. MSU would be 4th, with a 2-4 record. I'm not sure whether UM or OSU gets the 2 (both 3-3)
But if Wisconsin wins out, I think they get the 1 seed, as they'd be at 11-5 and have a 3-1 record against UM, IU, and OSU. OSU would be 2nd at 3-3, and UM and IU would be tied at 2-3, but I think IU would get the 3 seed, as they have a 2-0 record against the 5th team (MSU).
In the above scenario, we'd get the 3 seed, as OSU would have a better record against the #5 team (1-1 vs Wisco, against our 0-1).
Really weird that that one Indiana team (1983) got its own Big Ten banner and all the other champs are crowded together. That seems like a slap in the face to the other championship teams.
in the student section, you can recognize me as the one that's maized out and causing a ruckus
now back to my regular scheduled programming of hating everything about you
Buckeyes did not screw up. Mild sense of satisfaction felt.
<obvious>
Michigan needs to take care of business at Purdue
Michigan needs to Beat Indiana at home
