It's about cultivating a low level of expectation. She thinks you can't remember diddly, so when you do forget something you have a built in excuse.

You're kind of right. Replace 'thinks' with 'knows' and just delete everything after the comma.
"It's about cultivating a low level of expectation. She knows you can't remember diddly."
And you're 31 and single because you did it backwards. The order of operation is:
Get married
Join a blog
Gain weight
Lose you hair

Speak for yourself. What she "thinks" and what she "knows" are all the same for her. It's about picking your spots.

With Hopkins leaving is it possible we take Dawson and Hunt both?

There aren't current plans to take two linemen, but the potential is there if Taylor Lewan leaves early.

If DD was really serious about "coming back into the fold," he wouldn't even be thinking about still taking visits elsewhere.

I disagree... This thinking that "if he wanted to be here he wouldn't want to take other visits" is the exact reason that he is in this situation. He obviously has interest in coming back, but wants to be sure that he has gotten all the information that he needs before making his final decision. If he rushes back into it, then we are at risk of this happening again.

I'm not a big fan of what Dawson is doing/has done, but this isn't anywhere close to the reason. If he decommitted because he wanted to explore his options, then why would he go back into a mode where he limits his options? That's a completely illogical train of thought.

I do not ask that to be a jerk, even at NU we let in plenty of athletes who struggled to pass the ACT, Im just hoping it isn't an issue in this saga.

I suppose it's not at all possible that he just wants to get a better score.
I mean, we ALL just took the ACT/SAT once, right? Nobody ever takes it two or three times...

I just took the SAT once. Since that was back in the stone age, I don't even know if it was possible to take it more than once.
