He also tweeted after that he still loves michigan, he's just saying his brother is good and its gonna cost us when we play them, thats the problem with twitter at only 140 characters its tough to get a whole story, but keep sending trashy tweets michigan fans, totally makes us look better than him.

Exactly what I typed and I am not bitter. Just saying that players who wanted to be Wolverines(assuming here that Berk wanted to be one) come back to haunt Michigan.
Hoke and staff have to go after the players who they need and fit what they want to do. I think that Braylon is acting like a jerk but hasn't he always been a bit of a jerk?
Wonder if Stan or Sam will say anything on TheGoBlueWolverine hour on WTKA this Sunday.

He spelled Maize wrong (I don't give a sh*t about character limits, shorten something else up) and he went to the level of saying his brother will "tear Michigan a new 'butthole'"...Good Lord.

he'll tear us a new asshole right after Braylon makes another Pro Bowl

The sad thing is that the Edwardses were previously publicly upset about this, and Hoke supposedly reached out to smooth everything over with them. Then the kid commits to Minnesota, and Braylon's hothead self has to open his mouth again, metaphorically speaking.
Imagine if every former Michigan player got upset that his kid didn't get a Michigan offer. Or imagine if we DID offer every former Michigan player's kid.
I guess we'd better prepare for some angry tweets from John Wangler, since his kids probably won't get offered...

You're dead on about being upset about nepotism not happening. Not only that, what many others said is true - Braylon needs to learn to keep his f-ing mouth shut when things don't go his way. The only thing he is entitled to is free field passes and additional Priority Points through the Victors Club. I guarantee he's not the largest donor to the AD. So shut your mouth, Braylon.

Honestly, before Twitter was it this bad with Braylon? Nobody knows better than Brian, that Braylon was saying some stupid and incendiary stuff when Rodriguez arrived. And that was a big problem. But let's not kid ourselves; Braylon wasn't alone in that, and Brian knows that, just as well.
There's the checkered history with Stan's phone calls to radio stations too. But let's give Stan credit for trying to dig Braylon out of some of Braylon's self-inflicted pr holes.
But are there any athletes for whom the meme about "my Twitter account was hacked" is better applied nowadays?

I think the kid should have been offered - he has skills.

that pay the bills?

We have more than enough data. Braylon Edwards was a great Michigan football player and is a prize jacka$$.
Also, it has been a few years (Nick Hill, to be specific) since I've seen so much anguish over a 3-star running back from Chelsea.

Berkley ended up at Minnesota - doesn't justify Hoke's evaluation? If he ended up at Alabama or USC I might wonder.
I realize that some kids slip through the recruiting cracks (Kovacs), but I would think that Hoke gave Berkley every benefit of the doubt, given the Braylon connection, and still wasn't impressed enough to extend an offer.

Iowa pulled their offer, so yeah, it's not like teams are beating down the door to get Edwards's signature. That doesn't mean he won't find success at Minnesota, but outside of the two RBs they produced a handful of years ago (Barber, Maroney), the Gophers haven't developed much in the way of RB talent.

Remember Braylon, he'll play for MINNESOTA. A team that has beaten Michigan a whopping 3 times in 43 years.

Considering that there are maybe only a shade over 2,000 Division I football scholarships available at all in a given year (rough calculation), and many times that number are vying for one of these scholarships, this is a great achievement and a rare opportunity for Berkley, so congratulations to him and good luck at Minnesota.

I find it amusing that Braylon tweeted about starting some positive vibes and followed that up with tweets about his brother ripping Michigan a new one... I'd hate to see Braylon's negative vibes.

You are 100% correct. If he really wanted his nephew to go to Michigan, he can fork over the money instead of whining about entitlement. There are plenty of kids that walk on and pay their own way (e.g. obvious). If the kid is good enough he can walk on and play. If not, he doesn't deserve the free ride. All of us graduates that did not get scholarships hate Braylon right now.
