The only two teams to beat Michigan with a quarterback-who-is-real will play for the National Championship. Just a side note.

God I fucking hate the bcs and espn

"It would be best for UM if WVU, KState, and Oregon all win."

Are we sure Alabama/Georgia is a formality? I know they had some ugly-looking games along the way but they also gave Florida their only loss.
They'll probably be a 10-14 point underdog but stranger things have happened. In the last half hour or so, in fact.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:40 PM ^
It's not. Georgia can put up a pretty big fight. If Murray can pull it together for that game Bama will have a huge hill to climb to win that one.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:43 PM ^
Even if georgia wins that they'll go to the championship instead of bama
November 17th, 2012 at 11:47 PM ^
Oh I agree, the SEC Championship game is a NC play in game now.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:55 PM ^
Unless Georgia loses to Georgia Tech. I know they'll be favored by three touchdowns but it's a rivalry game and after today I'm not assuming anything.
Well, except for Auburn/Alabama. That one isn't happening.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:59 PM ^
Agreed, but this comment just made me imagine a world where both KSU and Oregon lose again. What happens if UGA loses to GTech and beats Bama in that scenario?
November 18th, 2012 at 12:39 AM ^
Notre Dame/Florida would be my guess. Even if K-State doesn't lose again I think they're stuck behind Florida.

So many tears in the stands. Haha.

I have hope that Oregon can be the 3rd team in waiting still. They lost in OT to #13 and they still get to play #16 Oregon State and possibly (hopefully) #17 UCLA in the Pac-12 title game. They can get back in the picture with two wins there, but now I'm not sure they'll make the title game...guh

I hate ESS EE SEE just as much as the next guy, but at least they're actually good. This ND team needed 6 turnovers to beat us by 4, and a missed 33 yard field goal in overtime from a 4-6 Pitt team.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:41 PM ^
Tomorrow evening two out of our three losses this season will be to the top two BCS teams.
My goodness.

19 probably. Louisiana Tech (20) and USC (18) lost. I don't think anyone will jump us.

If we had just beaten ND like we were supposed to back in September or if PItt could kick a 30 yd field goal or if the refs would've just given Stanford that TD, this would not be happening
November 17th, 2012 at 11:42 PM ^
Stanford didn't get that touchdown. The refs just needed to correctly officiate the incomplete fourth down pass that they gave Pitt PI for and ND would be out of it.
November 17th, 2012 at 11:59 PM ^
If Devin Gardner plays QB against ND and Nebraska I think we would be looking at a top 4 or 5 ranking. That could be the Sailor Jerry's talking though.
November 18th, 2012 at 12:28 AM ^
We would probably be behind the gaggle of SEC teams they put up there alongside Florida State. But with a game against OSU coming up we would have an easy chance to vault up.

Man I want to Rose Bowl.

and a #5-10 SEC team in the Capitol One bowl.
Not too shabby, if you ask me.

I'm re-directing my anger to ohio now. FUCK OHIO. HATE WEEK STARTS IN 8 MINUTES.

Fucking refs in the Pitt/ND, Neb/MSU game man.

a wonderful Oregon Pinot Noir at a late dinner here in Portland, OR at Tasty & Sons. Of course, the hipsters there were not concerned with petty college football, but the wine seemed to taste especially good. It must have been the meat and wine plate.
Listening to Chip Kelly on the radio postgame was the best dessert. All the Duck fans out here were so preoccupied with who they were going to play in the title game, they forgot to beat Stanford.
Where does Stanford get so many athletic effective defensive linemen who are < 290 lbs. Seriously?
