"Done nothing in free agency"??
Not impressed by the juggling act it took to keep all our own free agents, I see.

Plus the massive amount of cap space we have... Derp

If you're sick of getting dominated in the backfield, then OL is the pick for you.

I would personally love the Lions to trade up and grab Cordy Glenn this round, but if they don't I think it's very possible that Janoris falls to us in the 2nd round.
April 26th, 2012 at 10:43 PM ^
I concur. Glenn is a mauler and Peterman or Goz needs to be replaced. Our running game would be nasty. Then draft Polk in the late 3rd / 4th.
April 26th, 2012 at 10:42 PM ^
would be so awesome if Jenkins slid to us in the second but not holding my breath. Prolly need to grab a RB later too with LeShoure and Best both far from sure things. Get some young legs to grind some carries and hopefully fall into a good one.
April 26th, 2012 at 10:45 PM ^
He could slide to the late 2nd or 3rd. GMs aren't going to take a risk on him that early. In his interview he openly admitted to still smoking weed. He'll be a janitor in 2 years.
April 26th, 2012 at 10:48 PM ^
I would be more than happy grabbing either Chris Polk or Robert Turbin in the 3rd round.
April 26th, 2012 at 10:55 PM ^
No idea why Polk isn't highly rated. He's done nothing but carry a team for three seasons all while playing through injuries. He's such a hard runner and more elusive than meets the eye.

And the Vikings trade up to get Bantha Fodder for Calvin Johnson, ya I said it.....

I'm enjoying Jerel Worthy being passed on.

Will Harbaugh take Worthy and his tat? Interesting.

Seems like a bit of a stretch, figured he'd be 2nd rounder with 3rd round talent.

NIIIIIIIICE.

Quite the stretch for Harbaugh, especially with Jeffrey, Hill, and Sanu on the board.

LOVE the Reiff pick by the Lions. Top 15 talent at a position of need, no brainer.

Looks like Worthy fell outside the 1st round.

32 picks of necessary disappointment.

Wilson is a great pick. Love that kid. Big, fast and great production.
April 26th, 2012 at 11:07 PM ^
I'm buckling up for the potential Spartan mega-butthurt if Mike Martin gets drafted before Jerel Worthy.
April 26th, 2012 at 11:08 PM ^
It should be noted that both Kiper and McShay had Reiff going #13 to the Cardinals. I'd say the Lions got excellent value.
April 26th, 2012 at 11:16 PM ^
is not going to get drafted. He didn't play like a 1st rounder and has major on and off field concerns.
April 26th, 2012 at 11:22 PM ^
Did anyone see that couple at the Rangers game keep the foul ball even after the little kid cried? It looks like they even taunted the poor guy. Assholes.
April 26th, 2012 at 11:24 PM ^
Well speculation on 2nd round prospects. I said it earlier in this thread but I would love to trade up and grab Cordy Glenn, or even Peter Konz, and just like that the o-line would be upgraded big time. If they decide to go the CB route, than maybe Jenkins is there or Brandon Boykin or possibly Josh Robinson from UCF.
April 26th, 2012 at 11:27 PM ^
I just meandered over to the RCMB, and they were having a discussion about whether or not the Lions should have taken Coupons at 23.

Potential Candidates (in no specific order):
CB - Janoris Jenkins, N. Alabama
CB - Josh Robinson, UCF
OT - Jonathan Martin, Stanford
OT - Mike Adams, Ohio
LB - Zach Brown, UNC
WR - Alshon Jeffery, S. Carolina
Personally, I'm praying Jonathan Martin falls to us...This would allow Reiff to play RT or RG and not LT where we'd have a smaller, shorter arms, not as athletic player there like we do now with Backus.
Martin has what you look for in at LT...I think he'd make a better LT than Reiff, but if Reiff can play RT he'll end up being the better player. But to get two bookends would be HUGE!
If we can't get Martin, I say go CB. Jenkins is the better fit and more talented, but comes with baggage. Robinson is more than solid.
Following them I got Brown, then Jeffery...I'd take Adams in the 3rd round if he was around and we didn't take Martin in the 2nd.
April 26th, 2012 at 11:50 PM ^
Alshon Jeffrey had a terrible combine , i'm not sure he'll go in the 2nd round. I'd take Jenkins tho, he's a top 10 talent at corner ( who smokes weed) and the lions could use the help in the secondary.
I'm still mad the Browns took Weedon in the first round.
April 27th, 2012 at 12:11 AM ^
Hayward from Vandy..
I'm not sure he makes his way into the 2nd round...seemed like a 3rd rounder to me.
With that said, I LOVE his game. If we could somehow get Jonathan Martin in the 2nd round and Brandon Boykin in the 3rd....WHEW!! I'd be going NUTS!!
That's my first scenario, the 2nd hopeful is Josh Robinson/Jenoris Jenkins in the 2nd and Mike Adams in the 3rd. Although we can't take two question marks in Jenkins and Adams, we'd have to change our colors to hemp green.
Good move! The Lions weren't getting any younger at tackle. I like it!
Go Honolulu Blue!
