OT: Cornhole (Bags) Tinkerbell
I have an uncle that is REALLY into Disney. He made a Bags/Cornhole Game that has a large image of Tinkerbell on it. I guess if he's into it and wants to use it for a kids birthday party it's cool, but that's not the case. He feels that it is appropriate to take this to a Michigan Football Tailgate and I strongly disagree. I think he will get hammered by fellow Michigan Fans, the opposing team's fans and his nephew. What do you guys think?
Ive seen the photo of said cornhole game. It needs to be seen.
...watch out for your cornhole, bud.
No-brainer ... it needs to come to the game. Aside from the obvious humor potential, there's nothing more amusing than watching the facial expressions of a meathead whose masculinity is being threatened.

What do you mean bro? Tinker Bell's a babe!
I mean seriously, one board needs to have Kate Upton's head on TInker Bell's bangin' body; the other needs Tinker Bell's head transposed on Kate Upton's body; and we need a third just so we can all see tinker bell do the Dougie!
....and I say that as a man who uses Rainbow Dash as his MGoBlog avatar. Not only is it a unique take on a traditional game, it will challenge the latent insecurities of a fair number of people. I will say, using "cornhole" is probably the most innovative (and amusing) means to break down gender stereotyping that I have seen in a while. If I see it this fall, I will stop by for a round certainly.
this might be the best AND worst idea ever!

But I don't think most pedophiles like girls with a figure like Tinkerbell has. Girl has curves.
I was picturing a much different tinkerbell pose than the one he actually has on the board. This one seems pretty safe to me to bring to a game.
But seriously, this wouldn't even get a reaction from me; I'd think the guy just has a young daughter and was desperate for a tailgate activity so he raided her toybox.
but Tinkerbell is kinda hot.
The girlfriend and her friends have a strange obsession with Disney characters, and none have anything nice to say about Tinkerbell. Going by the theory that women hate other attractive women, Tinkerbell and Snow White would be the hot ones, at least from the nasty things I've heard said about them.
Women hate women more attractive than them*

Instead of taking the time to neg every comment of mine and post half-trolling remarks after whatever posts you think you can find something to say about, why not just stop badgering me on here? Your obsession is definitely weird; you should take some time away from it and find something productive to do on MGoBlog.
April 10th, 2012 at 10:12 AM ^
That's hardly true. I don't "neg every comment of yours". I just neg the posts that needlessly reference your girlfriend, the posts that are needlessly verbose, and the redundant posts that I've seen you say in twenty other threads but you simply can't help but talk about yourself one more time, however that may add up.
You have 7k posts and a karma of 1. I can't be the only one negging you.
But we can talk about how we really feel if you're going to go all Regina George and claim that I have a biiiiiig lesbian crush on you.
April 10th, 2012 at 10:20 AM ^
If you really want to start talking about quality of posts, what's the last thing you've said that was anywhere near productive? Out of your first page of posts, I see two that are maybe productive. That's fine, some of my favorite people on here add little substance (and I know I always don't) but you have no room to talk on the subject.
As far as karma goes, we have the same number. Take from that what you will.

Now its time for the Feat of Strength!
(No more fighting!)
April 10th, 2012 at 11:06 AM ^
I'm all for an end to fighting. gajensen annoys the hell out of me; apparently I get the same reaction from him. I'll unilaterally "disarm" and offer not to respond to one of his posts or moderate anything he writes.
If he does the same, I think you've solved your MGoModeration problem and enhanced my experience here. From the looks of it, he also enjoys making threads about the NBA, I'll offer to remain silent in those threads of his in exchange for his silence in softball threads, which he seems to hate anyway.

I get being annoyed by posters. I may be the most annoying poster of all judging by the number of negative comments and grayed-out comments I get. No reason for either of you to waste time "battling" each other online - I'm sure you both have better things to do and no good will come of it anyway. I think your suggestion of a mutual agreement to simply agree to disagree is a good way to handle this MGoFued. As a moderator, I want to make sure no one feels silenced because of over-the-top negative feedback. Not that either of you feel that way, just saying.
Commence the negs on this post . . .

I just wish there were an ignore feature on the board, or the ability to hide complete threads that are of no interest to a user.
April 10th, 2012 at 11:33 AM ^
I seem to remember someone mentioning that there is a way to block a user but I could be making that up. I'll find out . . .

It's called don't click on the threads that are of no interest.

Ah but I have also found over the years that women have absolutely no clue when it comes to determining the hotness of other women. Belle and Jasmine are definitely the hot ones.
April 10th, 2012 at 10:09 AM ^
I think the consensus (for them) was Jasmine and Pocahontas. No question they got Jasmine correct, but I'm not a Pocahontas fan.

+100000000000000 to this. Still haven't figured out if they are actually clueless or if women deliberately undermine other women they find threatening
Are you kidding me!?
Fawn is 10 times hotter than Tinkerbel, or Silvermist.
Maybe someone needs to spend a little more time in Pixie Hollow.
April 10th, 2012 at 11:09 AM ^
Though such hard hitting investigative journalism did determine that Silvermist is a Michigan grad...
Donkey punch the Little Mermaid
Get a rusty trombone from Snow White
You're right, that will never do.
There's not enough glitter.
This makes me uncomfortable because of reasons.

See if he can replace the current image with one of Kate Upton dressed as Tinkerbell, that's a win-win for everyone!
EDIT: Cue AC/DC's "Shot Down In Flames"
April 10th, 2012 at 10:09 AM ^
As others have said, who cares? It's a game. However, it might make life easier for him if he becomes an ace cornhole player so he never loses to his drunk, homophobic challengers.

My issue isn't one of gender, but age. I've always been creeped out by adults who are REALLY into Disney (or Harry Potter or Twilight, for that matter). Not people who enjoy the books or movies, but full-grown adults who collect all of the dolls, commemorative plates, salt and pepper shakers, and other various house-filling "collectibles." I've always thought, based on absolutely no psychological training, it represented some sort of stunted maturity in which the person can't deal with adulthood.
Of course, I'm also creeped out by collections of Elvis or Marilyn Monroe paraphernalia, various action figures, framed cross-stitch sayings about where home is or what to do with the cook, toy trains, dolls, or clowns (definitely clowns).
Now that I think about it, maybe I'm just phobic about tchotchkes. Never mind. Carry on.

Michigan stuff do you have in your house....?
April 10th, 2012 at 11:19 AM ^
I'd be interested to see what the average around here is, or who has a completely unexpected amount, big or small.
Michigan stuff, right...?
Just getting a TWSS vibe...
Edit- Joking aside, I think it has come up once or twice...but it's a good summer, annual revisit-

We're probably due for the 2012 edition.
I can't believe I didn't realize what I was typing. Interesting stuff on the older threads, maybe one of these days it'll get revisited if I get bored or you want to post something.

If she was wearing some white to go along with the green, it would be the perfect game to use when Meechingan plays Sparty.

"I have an uncle that is REALLY into Disney."
I don't know how to process this statement.
