NCAA Basketball Championship Game Open Thread
I know I should hate Kentucky, but lets be real. They are damn good and about to make me a lot of money.
It looks like Anthony Davis' reputation as a shot blocker has earned him the right to wail on people's elbows.
With all these freshman stars Kentucky will dominate like UCLA back in the day.

Sorry, double post
Well, Kentucky dominated the first 19 minutes, but by gum, that last minute was all Kansas!
Seriosuly, what the Helsinki were they doing in that last minute?

"Anthony Davis: 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 blocks (seemed like more), 1 steal, 0 points. What if MOP goes scoreless?"
Hoping the MOP ends up with 0 pts , that'd be great
At least Obama seemed pretty disinterested in the Ohio hat Clark Kellogg tried to give him during that halftime interview
He looked at it awhile. Probably wondered how much that hat was worth in columbus after he touched it.
That whole interview was cringe-worthy.
Okay, apparently Kansas can't score inside on dunks, either.
They're doomed.
Man the idea of Calipari (purveyor of dirt sandwichs) winning a title makes me a sad panda.
On the other hand {knock on wood} if KU can continue to slowly sneak back into this {knock on wood} the noose is going to tighten around Calipari's neck {knock on wood} and his deficiencies as an in game coach {knock on wood} will start to show.
If UK were to actually lose {knock on wood}, the schadenfreude would be amazing.
Agreed... just don't think KU can keep up offensively and the not calling obvious fouls on UK isn't helping much either. Those last two 3's don't help.
At least I can always looks forward to this championship being struck from the record books in 3-5 years.
You're going to have to knock on enough wood to tip a pine tree over, I'm afraid.
Is there anything worse than this overhead camera?
Watching that ad with the Laettner game just underscores how much the one-and-done rule has hurt college basketball. The level of play is so much weaker now. Kentucky started out 3-14 in the second half and still led by double figures.
If we had a time machine I'd be willing to bet that this Kentucky team would've smoked that Duke team.
Why? The Fab Five basically was the equivalent of this year's Kentucky, and we lost to Duke by 20. The level of play back then was far higher. Duke wasn't exactly a slouch. They had three NBA lottery picks (Laettner, Hill, Hurley) on that roster and none was a freshman. That's the difference: back then, the Final Four teams were all loaded, but usually they had upperclassmen starting.
Hurley only played 19 games as a rookie before the car accident, so it's not really fair to evaluate him just based on that. Nash and Stockton didn't do much as rookies, either. We'll never know if Hurley could have made a big leap in performance if he'd stayed healthy.
In any event, Hurley was a really, really good college player. His senior year he averaged 17.0 ppg, 8.2 assists and shot 42% from downtown.

Oh look. A commercial break.
Kentucky could throw up bricks from here on out and Kansas still may not be able to catch them.
I can't help but internally wince at thinking about how many defensive rebounds and layups we wouldn't be getting if we'd played Kentucky somehow.
Does Kansas have no 3-point shooting at all? They're trying way too hard to force-feed the post.
Suppose it's too much to hope for a miracle , eh?
Seriously, UK's luck is uncanny.
Yeah, I have no idea how Kansas didn't get a steal there. Should've been a breakaway dunk.
Releford gave up on that steal thinking it was going off UK out of bounds....GRRRRR
Two turnovers down the stretch where Kansas was sloppy. There's your game, folks.
Game over, FU Calipari. Enjoy it while it lasts... considering your history it won't last long.
It opened at 6.5 im sure it got pushed to 7, or 7.5
