Rose Bowl Open Thread
5 PM on ESPN.
Well, here it is - the Rose Bowl Presented By Vizio.
This is the battle of conference champions, of the 11-2 teams. Wiscosin versus LaMichael's Legs, or Oregon, if you prefer.
I don't have much in the way of sarcasm directed towards this game - it actually seems like it should be a good game, although I have to wonder if Wisconsin will be able to keep up with Oregon for the entire game.
Can Monte Ball break the record for TDs in a single season of FBS play? We shall see.
Will Bret Bielema find an innovative way to be a d-bag? Very likely.
I took Oregon. Call me nuts.

Even Oregon's band is decked out in full Nike gear. YUCK!
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:04 PM ^
Corso was way way off on gameday this morning. He couldn't figure out the difference between Oklahoma and Ohio State...twice he picked Oklahoma to beat Florida..
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:11 PM ^
You have to be kidding! I am at work so I am watching the ESPN game cast thing. This is absurd.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:10 PM ^
by Taylor. I would think you're only chance is to throw yourself at the blocker and hope you make a pile.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:10 PM ^
My eyes are bleeding.

35-28 Oregon. Wisconsin is either seriously overrated defensively or they just cannot compete with anyone remotely athletic on an opposing offense.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:13 PM ^
Completely overrated. UW's offense takes time away from other teams and scores, thus forcing other teams into uncomfortable situations where they must score quickley. Guess what team is completely OK with that?
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:18 PM ^
After Nebraska, which isn't great, what was the best offesne UW played? Sparty? Northern Illinois?
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:15 PM ^
Oregon's D doesn't look any better
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:10 PM ^
To LSU??? Oh that's right they played a real defense... Jesus this is going to turn into the Alamo bowl
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:13 PM ^
Washington held Oregon to 34.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:19 PM ^
Baylor and U W
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:22 PM ^
...held Oregon to 34. The same Washington we saw in the Alamo Bowl.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:29 PM ^
I was making reference to the potential score of this game matching the Alamo bowl score.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:37 PM ^
You're still missing his point.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:16 PM ^
montee ball has balls of steel.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:17 PM ^
Is absurdly fast. I don't think I have ever seen anyone accelerate the way he does. On both of his scores, it was completely obvious that no one could possibly catch him. Just terrifying speed.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:18 PM ^
Wisconsin's D is just that slow. They make him look extra fast.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:19 PM ^
See the Stanford and USC games for further evidence. Wisconsin is especially embarrassing, though.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:17 PM ^
I'll turn on the last 2 mins to see who scores last. This game sucks. Just because people are scoring, it doesn't mean its a good game.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:29 PM ^
Lol, that's awesome!
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:19 PM ^
They should have to go for two like in triple overtime.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:20 PM ^
Wisconsin is dominating the Time Of Possession statistic and KEEPING THEIR DEFENSE OFF THE FIELD. Good for them!
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:21 PM ^
....could be fatal in this game. Then again, maybe not.
This one is a toss-up right now, in my opinion. Sh*t defense makes a game hard to predict.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:21 PM ^
...Wisconsin is down a service break.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:26 PM ^
Good lord. Bielema = Richt. What an effing tool.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:25 PM ^
is no way to go through life, Bret.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:31 PM ^
Charlie Weis would tend to disagree
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:30 PM ^
brett bielema is the worst time manager in the history of college football. I bet this comes back to hunt him as always.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:34 PM ^
would disagree.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:39 PM ^
you might be right, definitely 1a and 1b. i'll let you choose...
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:30 PM ^
Huge stop for the badgers.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:31 PM ^
Meathead.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:31 PM ^
They think Oregon's faking injuries to slow down the Badgers' speed.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:34 PM ^
Take out the entire starting lineup at Oregon to W
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:34 PM ^
White's a good back, and I think he was something like a yard/carry worse than Ball. That's a pretty good measure of how good Ball is.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:38 PM ^
White's no ball.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:42 PM ^
This is ridiculous... Big play after Big play... Didn't the defenses prepare for this game? Or just the Offenses.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:42 PM ^
If Wisconsin wins my wife will probably beat me in the bowl pick em contest.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:42 PM ^
If all the uniform combinations affect Oregon's ability to tackle or play any sort of defense.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:45 PM ^
Or if it affects them with all the turnovers.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:43 PM ^
Wow, no effort to deflect the ball at all by the DB.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:43 PM ^
Boy I don't even know if I want to accept that against this offense.
Sarcaistc?
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:46 PM ^
That a way, Wisky!
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:49 PM ^
Another 28 points still?
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:52 PM ^
in 4 overtimes.
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:54 PM ^
Hey the way this thing is going anything is possible!
January 2nd, 2012 at 7:50 PM ^
Classless Wisconsin fans trying to start the wave during an injury timeout.
