stubhub question for nebraska
November 16th, 2011 at 1:11 PM ^
I'm surprised tickets are that cheap. I was expecting the first Neb game to be in the $100s.
btw on stubhub, where are you seeing the 1:35? can't seem the find that notation :-/

not sure. but $68 sounds cheap. face on regular season tickets is, i believe, $70.

Think the face value on the Nebraska game is actually $85. It was listed as one of the premium games along with ND and Ohio.

I always build in the extra I have to pay for my donation to MClub, so then its about $100 per ticket for the premium games.

I'm gonna guess the "1" means it is 1 ticket by itself.

Must be a mobile glitch. Looks like it shoud be an "R" rather than a "1:". I agree 68 is pretty cheap. The seats aren't great, but will be tough to get anything cheaper without going to the stadium, walking around for a while and getting lucky.

I can see into the future. You will be able to buy tickets for cheaper on Saturday, but you are best served to keep any stubhub tickets out of the hands of dirty Huskerdoos.

never seen that before - could mean section #1, row #35? or perhaps it's row #1, seat #35 in the section they are listed in? or else it's a glitch in their system. might be worth a phonecall to stubhub, they are very accomodating on the phone. GO BLUE!

That is just for stubhub mobile, but Im not sure what it is either. They also have Ohio St/Michigan tickets for as low as 150$. Im kind of skeptical, but if those are legit, then I might have to pull the trigger.

at the center gate ( not either corner) at the north end of Michigan Stadium. You can also ask any of the Michigan Stadium staff that you will see outside the gates.
Go Blue!

Pretty sure you need a MCard with you to validate a ticket. It is possible just to ask a student to come along with you to validate the ticket.
November 16th, 2011 at 8:31 PM ^
I don't know if you need an MCard to validate, cause my non-student friend has been getting tickets from a girl he works with and he's been getting them validated.

I had the same question when I was selling some tickets earlier this year. For some reason, sections such as "Sideline 23" changed to "1:23." I actually spoke to a woman at Stub Hub, who was equally puzzled by the change.
Since then, any ticket I have posted has had the "1:" in front of the section number. My guess is that somewhere in the bowels of StubHub, they decided to use a common nomanclature for the stadiums and that the "1:" refers to the first level. Since the entire Michigan Stadium bowl (everything except the suites, I think) are in the first level, all the sections start with "1:".
In your case, "1:35" is simply referring to Section 35, which is in the north endzone.
I am also surprised that you see a posting as low as $68. However, it is getting close to the game and the sellers are trying to dump their tickets. If you are looking at a single ticket, it is probably less than the tickets that are being sold in pairs or larger groups.
Remember, the buyer pays a 10 percent fee on top of the posted price. (I think I am right about this.) So, your $68 ticket will actually cost $74.80.

I too was expecting the price for this game to be much higher. was looking on ebay for tix and they are going for face value or less. very suprised.
November 16th, 2011 at 2:52 PM ^
...or ANY tix on StubHub...they will assuredly be snatched up by people wearing red.
If you have tickets to sell, I implore you to use your network to try to sell to known Michigan fans instead of leaving them open to the market.
OK, getting off my soapbox now.

good work man, she's gonna be blown away if she's already a Michigan fan! there's nothing like the big house. buy some hot chocolate or nachos with the money you saved. I'm getting excited just thinking about being at the game, even though I can't go ... dang.
November 16th, 2011 at 3:17 PM ^
Just purchased a student ticket off Craigslist for $45 if an M-Card is available. There's a bunch more that are for sale in the $40-$60 range
November 17th, 2011 at 1:10 PM ^
Remember you have to validate the student ticket if you don't have (or make) a student ID. validation costs $55 for Nebraska game.

I also see on Stubhub that many of the cheaper tickets are for electronic delivery; is that legit for U-M tix? I've only ever had/seen hard tickets.
Thanks.

StubHub and the Michigan AD have a business agreement that started this year. Michigan's doing that to have variable pricing for unsold tickets to games like Purdue, etc.
November 16th, 2011 at 8:10 PM ^
compared to adjusted face with donation, and what tix cost in Madison for the husker road trip.
I'll bet there's gobs of Red in the stadium on Saturday.
Too bad.
November 17th, 2011 at 1:10 PM ^
I'd rather have gobs of red this weekend than next weekend.

Even with Stubhub service fee you can get a pair for $66/each or a single for $74. Wow.
