September 29th, 2011 at 10:29 PM ^
If somebody could let me know if it's actually worth watching the midnight show I would appreciate it. I don't really have high hopes for the show.
September 29th, 2011 at 10:38 PM ^
It's worth it. I enjoyed it.
September 30th, 2011 at 5:47 AM ^
I DVR'd it, I will watch it tonight.
September 29th, 2011 at 10:24 PM ^

eeek.
September 30th, 2011 at 12:19 PM ^
for Archer references.
September 29th, 2011 at 10:31 PM ^
I'd go to war with this guy!
September 29th, 2011 at 10:45 PM ^
The guy has this way of communicating where he says things just the right way where it is authentic, obviously heartfelt, but never put on, sappy, or anywhere near phoney. People who didn't see but will watch at midnight, the office tour and his answers to the last couple questions are worth your time.
September 29th, 2011 at 10:48 PM ^
We have the same pre-game ritual/problem.
September 29th, 2011 at 10:46 PM ^
I mean, how can you NOT love Brady Hoke?
September 29th, 2011 at 10:49 PM ^
Why did my comment go away??
September 29th, 2011 at 10:56 PM ^
It's not that it went away. Someone already doesn't like you and your comment. I will bring you back some.
September 29th, 2011 at 10:57 PM ^
they didn't talk any football strategy or anything it was more of an interview with personal questions about family and Michigan related stuff like "if you could have anyone to speak to the players who would it be?"
September 29th, 2011 at 11:04 PM ^
I think Hoke has changed the tide on the rivalry. Hell people in Ohio are starting to believe him. Never in a million years I would have thought that. Selling Michigan jerseys is a good start.
September 30th, 2011 at 7:11 AM ^
That's telling.
September 29th, 2011 at 11:06 PM ^
Now I answer the question from Ohio fans why he first say their name, "it's shorter!"
September 29th, 2011 at 11:24 PM ^
Now I can answer the question from Ohio fans why Brady only says the first part of their name, "it's shorter!"
September 30th, 2011 at 5:50 AM ^
This is actually much older tradition. My dad always refered to them as ohio, I think lots of the coachs used to do that, it isn't a new thing, just Coach Hoke bringing back some old things.
September 30th, 2011 at 10:16 AM ^
Saying it that way for brevity's sake, saying that way to inflame, or saying it that way out of ignorance? Many folks here in upstate NY have no idea that there is a difference between Ohio and Ohio State. My wife referred to "Ohio" for the first year or so we knew each other. This obliviousness to the difference might be the worst insult.
Sadly, many folks here also have to be informed that there's a difference between Michigan and Michigan State.
September 30th, 2011 at 3:46 PM ^
I know a few people in their 50s and 60s who have always called them "Ohio," for whatever reason. They didn't intend it to be an insult; it just seems to be common "shorthand" for OSU among people of that generation.
September 29th, 2011 at 11:21 PM ^
We need a "Boyz in da Pahokee" TovVH style batman signal in times like this. For those of us who don't have BTN anyway.
September 29th, 2011 at 11:52 PM ^
Lucky for you, I'm on the case. It's encoding now, but I'll probably wait to upload it until tomorrow morning.

He's just letting him know that he isn't interested in him sexually. If every woman I've tried to court had extended me that courtesy it would have saved me a lot of time(and money).

He said he was going to post it.
September 29th, 2011 at 11:54 PM ^
Tremendous.
September 30th, 2011 at 8:37 AM ^
that he didn't say "tremendous" during the interview (at least as I recall).
That in and of itself it tremendous.
September 30th, 2011 at 12:01 AM ^
Our coach is awesome. Tremendously awesome.
Oh, there's no question...
September 30th, 2011 at 12:17 AM ^
Every time I hear him speak, he makes me crack a smile much in the same way Denard does. His uncontainable love for Michigan is contagious and really gets to the heart of what it means to be a wolverine.
September 30th, 2011 at 12:42 AM ^
There were at least two facts I learned (don't want to spoil it for anybody) that made me appreciate Brady Hoke and his love for Michigan football even more.
Most of it was stuff that I have already heard, but hearing it again, just makes you like the guy even more. He has a way of answering questions that makes you feel he is an everyman, while simultaneously making you realize he knows exactly what he's doing.
September 30th, 2011 at 5:44 AM ^
...he has already changed the tide on the rivalry, and sales of shirts will surely increase.
September 30th, 2011 at 11:04 AM ^
Never in a million years would I have thought that.
September 30th, 2011 at 8:37 AM ^
He doesn't seem like an extraordinarily complex man, and I can see how that puts people at ease when they're talking with him.
His public persona at least suggests that he is utterly incapable of feeling sorry for himself, and he would sooner commit seppuku than blame someone else for anything that occurs on the football field.
I cant see him under any circumstances ever telling students/alumni to get a life.
These, along with the revitalization of a competent defense, are things that comfort me, put a smile on my face, and make me prouder than ever to say Its Great to be a Michigan Wolverine.
September 30th, 2011 at 9:38 AM ^
You just couldn't avoid taking a pot shot at Rodriguez, could you? Of all the things RR said, telling fans to get a life (in that context) was one of the most reasonable.
September 30th, 2011 at 12:07 PM ^
Accountability is such a strong part of Hoke's public persona that no matter how cautious you are of RR's feelings(which yeah, I'm not very) the comparison is going to come up. Rodriguez got paid a lot of money to not suck.
September 30th, 2011 at 10:30 AM ^
brushed aside. When asked where his father played football, Hoke replied "he played for Woody Hayes" ... instead of ... well that name I won't speak / write either. So his dad played for Woody, yet Brady grew up a huge Michigan fan ... I guess we don't need to guess about this any further, but that was very interesting.
I doubt a day goes by that Coach Hoke doesn't thank God for this opportunity. He was cast with the same mold as Bo ...
Go Blue!
