Saving your piece of UTL History question...
Question about what people are doing to save their stuff from Saturday.
I'm thinking about getting everything framed, but i'm worried it might cost a fortune and not come out right.
(I preface this by saying I ran into Coach Hoke in the parking lot after the game and he was nice enough to sign the UTL jersey I had on)
But would it be a good idea to get one giant frame and put the jersey in it, with the ticket and program?... should I put the pom-pom in it as well?
I'm not big on collecting things that need frames, b/c of the cost, but this might be worth it.
Just looking for ideas, even outside of framing, on how to commemorate the game.

I'm thinking of making a diorama of me nervously/agerly/excitedly pacing around in front of my TV.

Fan Cam should also be obtained if possible.

I wonder how many people wanted to burn their souvenier shirts in the third quarter? I'm very happy it turned out this way, so that the shirts everybody spent their money on are now priceless artifacts instead of painful dustrags.

I had the exact same thought during the 3rd quarter. "Man, I just dropped $80 for this crazy jersey, another $20 on a t-shirt, and $15 for a program. I wonder if I can return them?" Very glad that I'll be keeping 'em with pride.

I am looking to get a "shadow box" or at least thats what my wife says. Its kind of like a frame but there is more space available to put things and hopefully not as expensive as a traditional frame as shit I looked at the official MGoblue pictures and its like $200 for a pano of the stadium.

Looking to buy a Adidas winter jacket from football fanatics. I just don't know what size to get. I have a XL north face jacket that fits great. Should I go with the XL or XXL Adidas jacket?

Adidas typically runs big in my experience.

I agree that Adidas runs large for me too. I always wear a large shirt but always ordered my Adidas student section shirts as mediums.

I'm definitely going to get everything framed and then put it in my masement (get it? Man+Basement=Masement) with all my other cool gear. I'll probably have to take something down.

if there's a Hobby Lobby near you, or similar craft store, you can probably find your own shadow box type frame to do it yourself and save some cash. My wife found one for her sister to display some hats she got from their grandma. I don't normally hang out at Hobby Lobby!

I met Lloyd Brady at Ricks and took a pic with him- thats definitely one I'm going to keep...I'm going to keep my ticket as well...last but definitely not the least, I bought the "Strike the Pose" mgoblog tee and was able to get Desmond Howard to sign it this weekend!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm hoping to frame all this along with a pic of the big house during UTL, Roy Rountree's catch, and a pic of me and my friends cheering on TV

Make sure you add an ND jersey to your display. I understand you can get them cheap. Just like those ones you see in the Dominican Republic that say "Notre Dame 2011 BCS National Champion".

So THAT's what they do with those. I always assumed Lou Holtz bough all of them every year.

I think I would frame just that. It's elegant and simple, but would still have enormous tangible and intangible value. You wouldn't need a "man cave" either to hang it up in. It would go well in many types of rooms.

actually, after the victory i almost considered picking up one of the jerseys, because it was simply that great of an experience. i have one of the pom poms (also got one from msu last year, but isn't quite as cool now :/ ).
I have my ticket, so I will probably keep that and get a picture or two to remember it. Absolutely fantastic experience, I'll never forget the insanity that took over the student section in the final 5 minutes of gametime and 45 minutes afterward.
