Lou Holtz says ND will beat Michigan and go all the way the rest of the season to a BCS bowl.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:24 PM ^
Now that his son's not coaching against ND any more, he can go back to his unabashed homerism.
I'm not too surprised.
September 5th, 2011 at 8:59 PM ^
was insightful and objective, but I will be waiting a while for that. He has to have pictures of somebody at ESPN to keep his job. I can't find anybody (outside of the ND fan base) that likes the guy.

And its truck nutz.

All I heard was Sufferin Suckotash! Seriously though, If ND cleans their ball handling, this game will be a close one.

This is not news. He openly plays the homer. It's become schtick. Let's just ignore it.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:38 PM ^
Exactly. It's kind of funny, actually.
September 6th, 2011 at 7:23 AM ^
but in a pathetic sort of way.
September 5th, 2011 at 8:48 PM ^
he would have spit on you while saying it.
September 5th, 2011 at 10:20 PM ^
It's all Notre Dame tongue-in-cheek favoritism at this point. The inside joke that everyone now gets.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:26 PM ^
Somebody said something mean about Michhh on TV, better head over to MGo and alert the masses.
(Essentially a repeat topic, so I'll repeat my comment)
September 5th, 2011 at 7:33 PM ^
This is going to happen a lot OMG Shirtless. I hope you are a stubborn fellow.

It's no worse than you feeling the need to comment every time one of these threads pop up. Thanks though OMG Board Police.
September 5th, 2011 at 8:31 PM ^
If we're going to have a different thread for every comment made about Michigan by each commentator on each episode of CFB Live. I'll be sure to tell the OP that they're overreacting each and every time.

If you don't like it, don't click on it.
September 5th, 2011 at 9:39 PM ^
But then who is going to call you an idiot for posting that Lou Holtz, of all people, thinks that Notre Dame is going to beat Michigan for the 100th year in a row?
September 5th, 2011 at 7:27 PM ^
September 5th, 2011 at 7:52 PM ^
Brilliant
Here's the one from last year with the ND/UM preview. Too funny
September 5th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
So he spit his way through another ND all the way prediction. How he has stayed on ESPN this long has to be an inspiration to stroke victims across the world.
September 6th, 2011 at 7:33 AM ^
Dr. Lou will say Denard Robinshin ish shlipperier than shlimey shtarburshts.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
Does this shock anyone anymore? In Holtz's mind, ND should run the table and with the NC every. Single. Year. Then they proceed to usually lose their big games (UM, USC) and then lose a few more that they should win (Navy, TUlsa, USF).
And if Kelly is going to keep blowing up on the sidelines like that, his players are eventually going to tune him out, and then it's all over.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:28 PM ^
Permission to give Lou Holtz a cup of warm milk and put him to bed?
September 5th, 2011 at 9:29 PM ^
..granted, please proceed and don't skimp on the sodium thiopental for the milk.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:29 PM ^
every time Holtz said something ridiculous re: ND we wouldn't have room for much else on the board.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:29 PM ^
Mark May stared at him like he was on something (per usual) and Rece Davis pointed out that the offense didn't need to be impressive, because the defense kept scoring and remained on the field.

But, what do you expect from Holtz?
September 5th, 2011 at 7:29 PM ^
Trolled by the Holtz.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:41 PM ^
Intentional redundancy?
September 5th, 2011 at 7:29 PM ^
This guy needs to just retire already.
September 5th, 2011 at 10:54 PM ^
he did already to the old folks home in Bristol Connecticut. They even gave him a "job" to keep him busy. Thanks ESPN.

Lou Holtz thinks ND would go undefeated in the AFC East.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:32 PM ^
Says ND will beat Michigan, let him..usually works out well for us!
September 5th, 2011 at 7:34 PM ^
Denard had 144 yards of total offense and we still scored 34 points, shouldn't Notre Dame be worried?
September 5th, 2011 at 7:35 PM ^
If ND wins out. I'm still not sure they go to a BCS bowl.
OK, they probably would, but one more loss would knock them out I bet. Their schedule is pretty weak.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:46 PM ^
September 5th, 2011 at 7:37 PM ^
Same thing every year. They could have beaten us last year and the year before, but didn't. They could beat us this year. We'll see what a night game and a roaring Big House brings. As annoyed as I sometimes get at Desmond, at least he's not a homer like Lou.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:36 PM ^
soo this is like 4 years in a row that he has picked them to go all the way.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:36 PM ^
It would definitely be a bad omen for Holtz to pick Michigan on Saturday. Good job Lou!
September 5th, 2011 at 10:02 PM ^
I feel much better about our chances of beating ND now that he picked them.
September 5th, 2011 at 10:19 PM ^
This shows all is well in the universe and we can expect more of the same for M-ND: the lower rated team upsetting the overinflated favorite.
September 6th, 2011 at 2:26 AM ^
The worst part is, eventually he'll be right. I just hope it's not this year.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:41 PM ^
Did anyone actually watch the game on Saturday? Our offense was barely on the field!
September 5th, 2011 at 7:41 PM ^
Actually said, if I am correct, that he was NOT impressed with Michigan's win, but was IMPRESSED with Notre Dame's loss.
That is about as awesome a quote as you will here.
Even douchebag Mark May thought it was ridiculous.
September 5th, 2011 at 7:44 PM ^
"the Tweeter". Mark May looked like he couldn't hold in laughter much longer.
September 5th, 2011 at 9:52 PM ^
At least he didn't call it the twittirola
