In San Diego, I have to go…

In San Diego, I have to go to Tower13 location to watch not Pacific Beach location or at home. There I keep moving around till I feel the level of play is good and then stick to that location for each play thereafter. Can move in between plays.

Would like both TCU and USC…

Would like both TCU and USC to win and maintain status quo. If either of them lose, CFP might sneak 2 loss Bama in on the premise of 2 close (road) losses vs OSU's ass kicking at home. Absolutely don't want 2 SEC but most definitely not Bama.

They had their chance. Although I believe USC will lose to Georgia but it will be a more interesting and entertaining game than Ohio vs Georgia. It should also help our recruiting.

Victor would be a huge get…

Victor would be a huge get. Him along with Josh Conerly, would be a fantastic finish to this already great class!!

Congrats to the coaching…

Congrats to the coaching staff on an amazing class!!

Is this class pretty much full or do we have room for more recruits? Other than Henry and Alexander, are there any others that we need to watch out for?

It will be

Bama - 1

It will be

Bama - 1

Georgia/Michigan - 2

Michigan/Georgia - 3

Cincy - 4

We will play Georgia. outside of Cincy I would have preferred Bama

Its snowing, JJ plays a big part, Michigan wins this one, GO BLUE!!!

I feel the team will be…

I feel the team will be super locked in this week, plays a great game, turns into a rout for the good guys, UM 31 - MSU 13!!

Agree with those added…

Agree with those added details  that I did not know of, he cannot be considered, definitely not at Michigan. I am sure someone will still take a chance with him. I don't mean to make this a recruiting thread, but all I meant was if someone with his recruiting prowess is available (without the baggage) Harbaugh should at least try to bring them on, current recruiting is simply not good enough no matter whether the staff is working their ass off. May be it will magically pick up over next few months, but it looks like a pipe dream.

Not saying we should…

Not saying we should definitely bring him on but he has proven his recruiting prowess over the years, not just at one stop but multiple places. I am not sure who would he replace, not even saying that he should replace someone on the staff but if its possible to recreate a position. The young coaches may recruit their asses off but they are still unproven at best and judging by 2022 class (ranked 16th currently with one 5 star and two 4 stars) and 2023 class (no recruits and no noteworthy crystal balls), I don't see the improvement (this would be the lowest ranked class since 2015).

Ed Orgeron has always been…

Ed Orgeron has always been an ace recruiter at all his stops, not a great track record as a head coach. I would like Michigan to try and bring him on in some capacity to shore up our recruiting. He obviously has great relationships in the south and south west. Any chance that may happen and what are people's thoughts on that?

I don't understand, why no…

I don't understand, why no one has OSU projected in CFB. I believe the most likely outcome is they run the table, including defeating Iowa in B1G championship and get into CFP. Bama likely not going to get past Georgia (with its defense and considering last Georgia has played them close even as an underdog in the past) and with two losses they will be out. So to me, its going to be

Georgia, OSU, Cincinnati and Oklahoma. May be even Iowa (instead of Oklahoma) if they play OSU close and Sooner lose, which I believe they would at some point this season.

Agree with the your comments…

Agree with the your comments. It has increasingly become a feature of this board to come out and ridicule. Agree bringing in Bowman in the post was not ideal, but honestly when I read it the first time it was clear that it is just an example. But somehow folks just latched on to it and took the whole conversation in a different direction. I don't agree with the topic of this post to begin with but my thought is people are posting because they care, and seeing them being put down is sad.

Couldn't agree more. He is a…

Couldn't agree more. He is a legend, the only college coach who is in the same league is Saban and he failed miserably in pros.

We should not be ranked…

We should not be ranked. Wisc, UCLA, Va Tech, all should be higher than us.

Great analysis. One thing…

Great analysis. One thing its missing is being starter just means they are better than others on the team but not how much of a play maker they are. Example Rashan Gary was a solid starter but never achieved the potential for number 1 recruit in the class. The telling fact is is how 5 stars and high 4 stars have not achieved their potential in JH era.

Yup. Its mind boggling what…

Yup. Its mind boggling what Wisconsin does with much less talent. Agree 100%, we seem to be able to develop 3 stars better than 4 or 5 stars, may be its the expectations associated with star rankings. Regardless, I am struggling to identify any 5 star we had who lived up to their billing? But JH has developed plenty of 3 stars into NFL guys.

Have followed Rivers…

Have followed Rivers throughout his career since I was in San Diego. Still have memories of 2006 Chargers team that went 14-2, and IMO, was the most talented team in NFL that season but they lost to New England and Tom Brady in first round of playoffs.

Overall Rivers had the talent but never fully realized, he was interception prone. Borderline HOF IMO.

Sad to see him leave. Joins…

Sad to see him leave. Joins the list of highly rated Michigan RB recruits who did not pan out. Makes me feel we are jinxed at RB.

Considering this hire must…

Considering this hire must pan out for JH and he had insider info from his brother, I'll choose to be optimistic. Honestly, I am happy to see JH taking the risk rather than be conservative.

Good. The goals should…

Good. The goals should always be lofty but they don't matter as much. Question is what is he doing to accomplish them??

Smaller goals such as have a decent offense, decent defense, good DLs, put the players in position to use their strengths,....would be sufficient for me personally.

How about Brian…

How about Brian Schottenheimer, any chance we can go after him?

Makes total sense.

Makes total sense.

Frankly I don't see how we…

Frankly I don't see how we will have a winning record next season, hope I am wrong.

I sure hope so but not so…

I sure hope so but not so optimistic.

Merely stating the facts.

Merely stating the facts.

As an aside, whether JH should be Michigan HC or not depends on the contract. Need to realize this is business. He was worth the money when he came in as he got everyone excited. If his contract is monetarily the same, then he is not worth it. If its significantly lower, he may be.

NO to Moorhead as a HC. He…

NO to Moorhead as a HC. He failed in much less pressure situation and the last thing we need is disciplinary issues at Michigan.

Not sure if Warde knows what…

Not sure if Warde knows what he is doing, but I sure hope so. Overall I am happy with him, especially hiring Juwan Howard, that in itself makes up for whatever is going with football (IMO). At least we have something positive.

Forget national championship…

Forget national championship. Lets start with winning against Ohio.

Wow great story! This world…

Wow great story! This world is a better place because of people such as Dave. Best wishes to Ed and the family.

Agree for most part. But we…

Agree for most part. But we will not be able to recruit at Ohio's level anytime in near future or at least until something changes for them. So the new DC would definitely need to coach up. Having said that, it is highly unlikely that anyone would be able to coach three stars up to compete with Ohio's 4 and 5 stars consistently.

Scratched him off when…

Scratched him off when Oregon, with all the talent, lost to Oregon State. He can recruit but not sure if he can coach at the level we need to beat Ohio.

#2 makes sense #3 doesn't…

#2 makes sense #3 doesn't. Although, its not a fair to judge on head to head recruiting wins at OSU vs Cincy, but are there examples where he actually won recruiting battles against OSU?

It sucks looking some of the…

It sucks loosing some of the top in state players three years in a row espcially at a position of need.

Sad but true. Hoping 2020 is…

Sad but true. Hoping 2020 is the last year with Harbaugh as our coach. He is good but not great and definitely overpaid. He has lost his mojo.

Forget OSU, jut look at Oregon, they have been able to recruit at a different level since Mario Cristobal has arrived. Michigan with its pedigree should be able to do much better and get more impactful players.
