Yes there is.

MSU: 2-1

UM: 1-2

OSU: 2-1

PSU: 1-2

UM and PSU are eliminated, MSU/OSU start the tiebreaker process over again.

11/05/2017 - 10:01am You are misinterpreting that.

You are misinterpreting that. The first tiebreaker is "1.    The records of the three tied teams will be compared against each other."

Which means how did MSU/OSU/Michigan do against each other?

Michigan would be 1-1, OSU would be 1-1, MSU would be 1-1, so it moves on to #2 which is record within division. Michigan would be eliminated in that instance since they have two divisional losses.

Overall record isn't until the seventh tiebreaker: The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative

11/05/2017 - 9:47am Overall record is actually

Overall record is actually one of the last tiebreakers, so that playing cupcakes isn't an incentive.

11/05/2017 - 9:44am Think of it in terms of

Think of it in terms of record against the other three teams:

MSU: 2-1 (Loss to OSU)

OSU: 2-1 (Loss to Michigan and PSU)

Michigan: 1-2 (Loss to MSU and PSU)

PSU: 1-2 (Loss to MSU and OSU)

Michigan and PSU are then eliminated from the conversation and it is between MSU/OSU

Edit: Actually, OSU would have three B1G losses in this scenario, so they would be eliminated first - MSU would go to Indy.

FWIW, Corley is being recruited as a WR/DB. He's a damn good cornerback too.

12/17/2015 - 5:21pm The committee uses where they

The committee uses where they were ranked when they beat them. Which I felt was pretty stupid, but it does make sense. Teams get better and worse throughout the year. Say Michigan plays MSU one year in week 5 when injuries haven't hit yet, MSU is undefeated and a top 5-10 team and Michigan beats them. Then the next game MSU loses their starting QB for the rest of the year and doesn't win a game the rest of the year and falls out of the polls. A week 12 win by Iowa over MSU isn't as good as week 5 win when MSU was healthy.

12/07/2015 - 5:51pm Hill was at MSU this past

Hill was at MSU this past Wednesday with Corley and a few other King players. Took in a football practice and the basketball game vs Louisville

11/24/2015 - 9:10pm Nebraska had a very mobile QB

Nebraska had a very mobile QB though. Armstrong scrambled alot which lead to 0 sacks from MSU's defense. Hackenberg, while a better arm-punter than Armstrong, won't be outrunning anyone.

11/19/2015 - 10:57am Dantonio doesn't disclose

Dantonio doesn't disclose injury information so the website would not reflect that. Almost everyone gets "hurt" throughout a season. It might have not been season ending, but it isn't hard to get a 6th year. It happens all the time.

11/18/2015 - 3:55pm "although with how their

"although with how their secondary has played this year that may not be a good thing"

Really? Returning everyone is not a good thing, even if they have not played well? It would be better if everyone who sucks graduated and was replaced by people who couldn't beat them for a starting job in the first place? I've seen this logic so many times and never understood it.

MSU's defense will be better next year. The D-Line will take a major step back, but the LBs and DBs should be improved with who they bring back. The return of Copeland, and hopefully a healthy Hicks, in the secondary will be huge. We've also had multiple true freshman start back there (Including both safeties in the MSU/Michigan game) and another at corner, who should get better.

The offense, however, has a chance of being 2012 (Maxwell) level. The QB battle will be huge (obviously), but unlike 2012 where it was Maxwell and a RS Freshman Cook, we'll have an actual competition between O'Connor and Terry.

10/22/2015 - 7:45pm I'd probably take Indiana

I'd probably take Indiana +16.5 against MSU. MSU is 0-6 ATS as a favorite and Indiana poses a threat to a weak secondary. I like MSU to win but Indiana to cover.

10/04/2015 - 11:44am This is no longer true.

This is no longer true. MSU/OSU in late November is an 8PM game.

01/09/2015 - 11:26pm Smoking weed in Oregon hasn't

Smoking weed in Oregon hasn't been more than a civil infraction since the 70s. Will be completely legal in July.

Should the NCAA suspend players for speeding tickets?

01/08/2015 - 12:17pm He will coach the LBs

He will coach the LBs primarily, which he coached under Dantonio at OSU. He'll also help out with DL and ST.

01/02/2015 - 1:11pm Yes, Waynes told his hometown

Yes, Waynes told his hometown (Kenosha, Wisconsin) newspaper that he's declaring. From what I hear, Calhoun and Cook are most likely to be back though.

Our DL coach, Ron Burton, said that Evans and Sweat will be getting medical redshirts. So 4 out of 23 commits played, about average for Dantonio

Pretty sure night games are locked in before the season.

10/04/2014 - 1:41pm Prices at MSU are similar.

Prices at MSU are similar. Student tickets for football/basketball have been ~$180 for years. Hockey is ~$80-100 with a bunch of freebies thrown in.

10/04/2014 - 1:40pm I'm pretty sure we're sold

I'm pretty sure we're sold out for the year besides those tickets alotted for single games. Nebraska returned ~1000 tickets and we've been struggling to sell those (about 700 left as of last night).

I have a feeling our student section will not be full tonight though. A mixture of the flu going around, the shitty weather tonight, and the Jewish/Muslim holidays forcing some students to go home have flooded the market with student tickets.

08/01/2014 - 9:21pm Agree with everything, but I

Agree with everything, but I think this years schedule is about easier than last years (excluding Oregon). We played @NEB, vs UM, and neutral field against OSU. This year we get all 3 at home, including 2 of them at night.

Also, if we make it to the B1GCG again we'll face an easier opponent than 2013 OSU (most likely).

07/11/2014 - 6:23pm Just for reference, MSU will

Just for reference, MSU will have 3-5 RBs on the roster in 2015, not including Scott/whoever else commits.

Graduating - Hill, Langford

SR - None

JR - Tompkins, Williams (Could get moved to LB/Safety)

SO - Holmes

RS Frosh - Owens (Could get moved to FB or DE), London.

That looks pretty thin to me, especially considering Tompkins has made little noise so far in his career, and Williams and Owens are very likely to get moved to defense. Although, players buried in the defensive depth chart get moved to offense and vice versa every year (Langford was a CB for 2 years).

Edit: Or at least I haven't seen anything like that in the Breslin when I've been in it this year. Looks a lot more like Spartan Stadium to me.

Are you really comparing Burbridge and Evans' academic issues to what Campbell did? I've never seen someone go to jail for failing math class.

FWIW, a bunch of QBs have been on unofficial visits to EL lately. I don't see Campbell signing with MSU, thankfully.

Technically, nothing was promised to the big time donors. The bigger donation gets you a better seat at Spartan Stadium. 08/06/2013 - 5:41pm Yep. Dantonio has added a few

Yep. Dantonio has added a few QB option runs in the playbook and there is video of Maxwell and Cook practicing the speed option in training camp. I think if Maxwell is the starter throughout the season, Cook, O'Connor, or Terry (all pretty mobile guys, level of mobility goes in that order) will get some snaps and there will be certain packages that have them run.

FWIW, Cass Tech 2015 trio, as well as Cole, Stallworth and a few other big name 2015 prospects are visiting MSU on Wednesday.

Cole, Stallworth, and Campbell were also just Crystal Balled (247 feauture) in the past half hour or so to MSU by Steve Wiltfong (National analyst). Most believe Campbell will commit to MSU tomorrow (shouldn't hurt Michigan as he wasn't really a top target).
