Corley and Hill will commit on same day

Submitted by Brendan71388 on
Per both of their Twitter pages, 2016 prospect Donnie Corley and Lavert Hill will be committing on the same day. Corley is pushing back his initial announcement date of December 8. Corley's tweet: https://twitter.com/hit_squad9/status/673985335249018880 I'm not sure how often this is done by HS teammates. I would wonder how often it's done by teammates if they're announcing for different schools. As much as a sure thing Hill has been talked about for Michigan, it would be interesting to see them commit to UM/MSU since that seems where Corley is headed. This would be a fun ceremony to watch, if they do one (provided at least one of them goes Blue).

But Corley being a heavy MSU lean for quite some time and pushing back his decision are concerns for me. They are great friends so it's likely they would both want to attend the same school and announce together. The reason I'm thinking MSU is because from what I've heard it's more likely that Hill goes to MSU than Corley to UM.

Sees a player considered a strong lean to MSU, but has recently shown more interest in Michigan move back his announcement date. First thought is that it must be bad news. Same line of thinking from an MSU fan would lead to certainty that both are coming here.

Can you share who you have heard Hill to MSU is more likely than Corley to UM. I frankly find it eye opening DC is sporting OSU gear on his big day so deep into the process.

....why?

Hill has almost exclusively been visiting Michigan.  For awhile there it seemed like he was going to every home game.

There have been six predictions on Hill since November.  All of them are for Michigan.

The same day he decommited from Penn State he had an in home visit from Harbaugh and Zordich.  He isn't going to Michigan State.

I think it is fair to say they are going to the same school if they are essentially announcing together. So, more like Corley to M or Hill to State? I Don't think Hill not having visited State in a while really matters if he still has an offer. State going to the CFP might matter and I think that may be the reason for concern. Also, if he went to the OSU game it provably didn't help us much.

They're announcing together so certainly they're going to the same school.

Because recruits from the same school NEVER announce together and go to different schools.  Nope.  Not at all.

Maybe they felt it would be cool to do it together?  Maybe they thought it would be fun if they announced for different schools?  Maybe they felt it would draw more attention to their high school?  Who knows why they are doing it together?  Trying to tease any conclusion out of the announcement is just pure guessing.

Not sure why you think that at all actually.  Seems like it could be fun to announce at the same time and they face off as rivals.  Of course I hope they both go blue.

Why would someone choose state over us??? Hmmm...well...because we have been OWNED by MSU the last 8 years. They just won the big ten again. And they are in the college football playoff. That is why I can see someone wanting to play football there or choose them over us. Do I like it? NO. Not even knew little bit.

maybe they want a real education?  Maybe they don't want to play for a d-bag coach who looks like he has a terminal-hemorroid condition?  Maybe they are looking for a large global network of people they can connect with for jobs and relationships in the future?  Maybe they want to live in a nice college town with a beautiful campus instead of a 1950's Rod Serling set?  Maybe they want to play for a coach who has 14 years of experience as an NFL player plus 4 years as a highly successful NFL coach?  I'm baffled.

1.) Glad to see you spell Brendan correctly. I share the same name and hate seeing it spelled with an "o".

4.) How sweet would it be if both went Blue?

5.) Go Blue.
