I don't understand the angst over this season. Michigan had a surprisingly great season last year, lost significant talent, only had Hughes back as a notable player, and Mel came in knowing he had to rebuild.
I love the John Cooper stuff. He built OSU into a perennial powerhouse, was always in the hunt for the national championship, just lost a lot to a stumbling 8-3 Michigan team (save 1997 and 1999). Tressel just had to come in and make a few adjustments, treat the game like The Game, and Boom, Michigan has been chasing their tail ever since.
Day did what ANY good coach should do. Get credible coaches who can also recruit, and who have experience.
If Harbaugh would have snagged Day, had Meyer not retired, we'd all be "YES YES YES DAY IS THE GREATEST!"
Certainly it is causing angst because it's OSU, but Day is going to do what's best for his team and probably not spend much time worrying about how message board Michigan fan feels.
The charge/block call or no call is the most subjective, yet game changing call in sports. Probably 90% of the time it should be a play on instead of some bald fat middle aged dork blowing his whistle to stop play for the 943rd time in a game, but no.
Basketball is virtually unwatchable (I'm a fan, so I do watch), but the main negative is players foul out on these shitbird calls and teams lose because of them. Sad.
He chastise me for name calling, but began his initial idiotic post by insulting school leaders.
There is room for home schooling: Parents who think they know more than the people who do it for a living.
It's not a "straw man" to suggest you hire a plumber to look at your kidneys--you are essentially doing the same thing by home schooling. And don't introduce an idea without expecting it to be challenged.
This board is full of people who are full of themselves--you migh be the most egotistical.
Well, well, The pontificating pretend to be cool upper peninsula guy seems to tell people he's better at educating his children than people who train themselves for it, go to college for it, practice their profession, undergo rigorous professional development, testing, and then spend 8 hours a day with children because they, well, care about them, and in ALOT of cases, more than their own parents.
Tell ya what asshole: If your kidneys start failing, have your wife operate on them, not some poor shlub who went to medical school and does it for a living. Or call a plumber to check them out.
You home school assholes are egotistical beyond belief, and it's why a ton of your kids end up with the social sklls of a message board guy when they grow up.
I believe part of the problem is Michigan does not seem to sign players who can make a strong instant impact--our freshmen are not as ready to go as OSU. That probably requires research, but I believe that to be true.
This, when our guys do start as Sophs or later, their guys are veterans who have game experience, and well, they're usually better anyway.
There's no substitute for game experience as we have found out with so many recruits that do not seemed to have reached their potential.

Rooting for some nothing team in in a meaningless league?
Seriously?

This season is playing out the way it should.
It's gotta be torture for guys who watch it and have a nervous breakdown every time an official calls a foul on their team.
Hundreds of calls in a typical basketball game--no way most of the guys posting on this thread should be watching any of it.

And if your kid slips and breaks his leg or something, you'll be the first to hire an ambulance chaser.
You're not crazy, they'll always be like that.

I'm putting the over/under on made up Vassar stories in this thread (after the several already here)at 10.
Wow somebody is testy over his Harbaughner...
I'm anxious to read the first "cool story bro" post from the message board guy who went to school at Michigan with him.

What do you mean "we"???
YOU are going to catch hell for this travesty. No one else.

No man has been luckier.
The "Tuck Rule"-it was a fumble.

Seattle passes from the one-yard line
Atlanta's coaching staff brain farts with a huge lead
This year's Offensive line and this year's defense
And no man has been "unluckier"
New York Giants receiver catches a pass with his helmet after Eli Manning breaks about 68 tackles to heave it downfield with his eyes closed
A second improbable Eli Manning heave that Mario Manningham catches
Nick Foles decides to finally play like an NFL quarterback who is unbelievably great after being less than mediocre throughout his career
Bill Belichick suspends Butler last year and the Patriots give up 900 third and long pass plays in the Super Bowl
The Patriots, other than Randy Moss for one year, have NEVER given Brady capable downfield receivers that can open up the whole field for him
The idiots who call him a cheater for the deflated football thing just don't get it, and they hang their hats on that as if that defines Brady.
He is defined by one thing: WINNING
They're all shit
Betting on the Rams to clobber the MAGA loving Patriots.

Ahh, the usual "I have it all figured out" PERSPECTIVE post, with the usual The Sky Isn't Falling even though no one thinks it is.
When it comes to basketball, it's a marathon and I think WE ALL KNOW IT, MOM.
Wow! Nothing says "FUN" like a 20 year old football game!
Wait--this current staff is so inept they need to hire a guy just to help them beat...Army???
Oh Jimmy, we hardly knew ye.
So much for national championship aspirations...
That should buy Harbaugh two more years of excuses.
Those are bad, even for made up message board stories.
Do people think they're cool by posting this shit? "Who?"
A player on a team of which you are supposed to be a fan.
Idiot. Almost every time someone leaves the team some douchebag posts that reply.
No…
"We're better than that"
No, no "we're" not.
