After checking other recruits, it seems that Forcier, Emilien, and others all created their uniqname today as well!

that umich students make semi-regular use of in order to find people's email. it only has information which you decide to put on there. accessing information in the public domain isn't "stalking" or "creepy". consent is involved.

Agreed. If someone looked up his address and then went to camp out in front of his house/dorm, that would be creepy. Checking an online database is just journalistic research.

I don't know if you decide what information goes there, since I don't ever remember choosing what or what not goes on there, and it has my school address, permanent address, and even my phone number. Perhaps I should try an change that...

Yeah you can. I've deleted everything except major/minor off of mine. It's to change, just search yourself, go to your page, click bind and log in, then click the modify tab.
And also, last I checked no one here was using it to find anyone's email (a perfectly legit reason) you were checking to find out of if a football player had made his decision on where to go when he has explicitly stated he will not be announcing until a certain date. Creppy, stalkerish, etc. Get off the guy's tip.

normally get this number of early enrollees? This number is impressive - Michigan could have up to 7 early enrollees, and Iowa only has 12 verbal commitments at this point. I think this is a good thing.

because UM is getting to the point where we have to tip toe around recruits because we are scared they will decommit? Forget that!!
This is MICHIGAN and if a blog hurts his feelings and he decommits because of it, I say "good day to you sir!". Even Big WIll or whoever for that matter. Yeah he is rated highly but how many others before them haven't panned out?
It is getting old watching everyone be so careful about the recruits, it should be the other way around.
I hope Big Will does come but if little things like this hurt your feelings UM will not be the place for you at all - BEAVER. You'll need thicker skin than that to go to the shoe and play the suckeyes.

EDIT: And FWIW, in a rivals interview with Dior Mathis he mentions how Michigan is a strong player in his recruitment for many reasons, but one being that 'all' his friends are going there.

Impossible. You can only enroll at one school. If you want to switch, you need to transfer.

Enrolling is another matter. That means you signed on the dotted line. You can't enroll at 2 or more schools. I think this discussion should be killed, though. Let him announce on his own terms.

If the kid wants all this "glory", he could have had a press conference and announced it. If he really thought he could enroll without people finding out, than he's not too smart. Nothing is official. He's still going to be able to officially announce where he's going on Jan. 4th.
