Cant blame him. He doesnt want to be on the field the entire game and maybe win an important game once in a while.....which he will do at OSU

This is honestly embarassing. We recruited Friday hard since the beginning and "lead" for him for the majority of the process. He was OSU's backup plan. BACKUP PLAN. They didn't get their guy so they started recruiting Friday late and are still getting him. Flat out embarassing.

Who didn't OSU get? They have Vincent and Togiai already. I don't remember them missing any of their top targets.

Micah Parsons is a defensive end not a defensive tackle
January 10th, 2018 at 1:45 PM ^
Carman and Parsons are top 10 overall players and Jones is #41 overall on 24/7

I don't even know. I read it on another board. I just know that they didn't start recruiting him hard until recently. Either way it stings. It's just another loss this offseason. It's not looking like there will be any wins.

I don't mean to rub salt in the wound, but Friday is more like the backup plan to the bakup plan for OSU. Cox was plan A, Oweh was plan B, and Friday is now plan C. They blew it with Parsons as well.

A recruiting coach would be a good hire considering how shitty the staff has been recruiting blue chips in the 2018 cycle.

Goddamit why is it so hard for Michigan to recruit high caliber players? It seems to be so easy for all the other top notch programs (i.e. Ohio State, Alabama, USC, Georgia)...recruiting is so perplexing at times.

WINNING>A TRIP TO ROME

Ann Arbor is great, but it's flat out tough to sell kids on playing in the middle of Michigan in the modern recruiting world. Tradition only gets you so far. Is it really that perplexing to wonder why an 18 year old kid would want to live in Southern California for 4 years?
On top of that, if you actually sell them on the idea of moving across the country, you have to make sure they can get accepted into the school. To add insult to injury, Michigan high school football isn't great.
Ohio State has the same kind of climate to sell, but Ohio high school football is strong enough to keep them afloat during any sort of down period. Then they can pay for whatever they need to fill in the gaps.
Michigan was always at it's peak when we were getting kids out of Ohio, and they have to start winning some fucking games.

It isn't easy for the other top notch programs. It is easy for the top notch programs, of which we are not one.

I've felt like that for years now. It's everything except rooting for Brady. Even the Wings started sucking lately. My only solace is that this stuff is cyclical in my experience.

This sucks, 10 crystal balls to Ohio State today, including a few of the most reliable national guys. Otis Reese is 70% UGA and 30% us for crystal balls now.
Reese leaves too and we will have 0 top 100 recruits while Ohio State has 12 or more. We can withstand that for 1 class and still beat them, but it's not like we were on par with them before this year in recruiting.
We need to win in 2018 more than ever, we cannot afford the incoming talent disparity between us and Ohio State and ever expect to beat them. The depth their type of recruiting creates is something that really makes a massive differnce when we play them the last week of the season. They have backups who were top 100 players.
