Year he was the best RB on our roster w the best vision. I also said he would lead our team in rushing this year and that he was the key to the offense besides Speight of course.

Interesting, how the narrative I have heard over the years that he was always one step away from transferring out, and that he acts entitled, is soft, etc... but it sounds like that this wasn't the case, at all.   Am glad to think that maybe we finally will have a stud rb that plays well on Sundays, too.

Now, does he have another year of eligibility ?  And if so, are odds low he stays ?

Finally, the most talented back on the roster is actually at the top of the depth chart. It seems like it's been years since that has been the case.

I agree. I have been saying this kid has a combination of size, speed and agility to be a very good RB. He just needed more touches. In limited play, and with a mediocre line last year, he's had some impressive runs. I can see him playing on Sunday if he continues to get the ball.

How do you rate Isaac's play this year? It seems like he isn't the fastest (Evans), not the quickest direction changer (Evans), not the most powerful (Higdon), doesn't break the most tackles (Smith last year), but he does seem to play with impressive vision. What do you think?

I really liked this kid from the get go.  It was hard seeing him having such troubles.  But he's older, wiser and is obviously buying into the team.  He's always had the talent, so I hope he keeps getting better!

To me he seemed to be hesitant regrading contact in the past, despite usually being the biggest guy. This year, so far, I haven't seen that at all. He is taking on tacklers and realizes he is the biggest guy.

All that said I think Higdon is being under utilized and is better overall.

For Isaac to prove himself a solid back.  Was very excited when he transferred thinking that as a former 5 star he would soon become a starter.  Very happy to see him stick with it and work hard to fight for carries.  Concerned with tendencies to go down on 1st contact, but if he can continue with the YPC we've seen thus far no worries here.
